The compartments are not separated by a rigid divider. The vendor is incorrect in his assessment. I recently received mine, and the material separator in the middle is the same as the top and bottom of the bag. There is no rigid reinforcement in sight.
I'm not sure how hot it could be, but I've put a dish right out of the oven that was at least 350 degrees and it held up well.
Hello, even in hot weather, the bag should be able to keep items hot or cold for several hours. The temperature inside the bag is influenced by a number of factors, but the colder or hotter the food is when placed inside the bag, the longer the cold or heat will be retained. There is no need for a gel pack. On its own, it's quite effective. The gel pack, on the other hand, is a fantastic addition because it increases the amount of time it stays hot or cold.

I believe this was the larger of the two I was thinking about purchasing. This is the one I'm glad I picked. My 9x13 wheels were a perfect fit. On Easter Sunday, I tried it for the first time. One section will be for the ham, and the other will be for the mashed potatoes. When I arrived at my daughter's house, my casserole dishes fit perfectly, and my food was warm. I'd say it was in the carrier for about 90 minutes in total, which isn't the best test of time, but it's a start, and I'm not sure I'll need to keep anything hot or cold for much longer than that. This is a product I strongly recommend!.
I read rave reviews, with some claiming they had to remove the dish from the carrier with pot holders, but that was not my experience. I baked two dishes and put them straight into the carrier after they came out of the oven. They were so hot that I was afraid I'd melt the carrier's insulated interior. I took the carrier to an outdoor event where the temperature was well above 100 degrees, making me wonder if anyone would want something warm to eat. The dishes were still warm when I took them out of the oven. It was just a little chilly. br>Previously, I'd wrapped my hot casseroles in a thick towel and placed them in an insulated shopping bag, making do with what I had, and I was thrilled to finally have a proper carrier. This carrier did not keep it any warmer than my insulated bag method of wrapping a towel around it. My hot Pyrex fit nicely inside the carrier, and it was certainly easier to transport than my previous method, but it wasn't the heat-retaining miracle I'd read about. I don't regret buying it because I'm sure I'll use it to transport food that I can reheat when I get there, and it wasn't expensive, but it unfortunately lacks the heat-retaining properties for which it was purchased. If you're transporting food over a short distance or bringing something cold to heat up at your destination, I think it'll suffice.
It's extremely well-made and long-lasting. I think it will last a long time, and I like the fact that it has two compartments in case you bring more than one dish. It also has an additional pocket for utensils or condiments. The color is appealing to me. When I looked at other brands, I noticed that they used unusual colors or color combinations. In addition to this case, I purchased a two-case set. Dishes with lids should be packed in Pyrex dishes. For stacking items in the carrier, I figured that would be the best option. I also purchased a reusable hot/cold pack to use inside the carrier; the carrier keeps things hot or cold for hours on end, but the hot/cold pack takes it to the next level. I would strongly advise anyone to use this carrier. It has made my friend extremely happy. Anyone who sees it is curious about it and wants to know where she got it. A fantastic purchase!.
While the product's quality is good, the description is incorrect: an 11x15 casserole dish will fit in the carrier, but Pyrex lids will not. What good is a carrier for keeping your food clean if you can't use the lid because the carrier won't hold the dish? If you prefer to transport food with a matching lid, this product is not for you.
I packed four pairs of shoes the next morning for 99 dollars. 9-inch deep-dish quiches were placed inside, with a sturdy cardboard square on the bottom of both levels, and the quiches were individually wrapped in heavy-duty aluminum foil right out of the 375-degree oven. I put one in advance. On the cardboard, I put a heated hot pack (Amazon) and a dish towel between each layer. On each level, I placed two foil-wrapped hot quiches. (Yes, 8-inch pans would have been better, but 9-inch pans would have worked just as well. ) inch was created by bending the edges a little. ) On top of each layer of quiches, I draped another dish towel. Dish towels were used to keep the hot pies from melting the carrier's interior and to provide extra insulation. The quiches remained warm after a 2-hour drive. The bottoms of the pies were still warm after attending the football game and packing up to go home! After I've used it for a while, I'll give it a rating on how durable it is.
This was purchased for our work potlucks. It was a huge success! I made the sliders the day before and placed them in a glass baking dish with foil on top, then took it to work and ate it at lunchtime while it was still warm. It has a zipper on top for small items and fits a standard 9 x 13 dish. It's easy to transport and it looks nice.
This casserole carrier is one of my favorite things. On Thanksgiving, I used it to drive an hour away for something, and it was still very hot when we arrived. I had a great time. Just in case the reflective material was damaged, I placed a towel under the pan.
However, I have not tested to see how long it will keep items at desired temperatures because I've been able to transport items from oven to destination in under an hour. br>br>Only suggestion: , I cut out the side of a box that was headed for the recycling bin and slid it on top of the lower compartment dish, providing support for the second compartment and preventing the dish above from sinking into the one below. br>br>I have an 11x15 pan that fits perfectly (despite the lack of handles). With handles, the 11x13 pan works well. I've stored pies in the upper compartment and serving utensils in the outside pocket. This would also make a fantastic gift for any cook. br>br>.
