Questions & Answers

Please provide me with the exact dimensions of this pan. The actual pan, not the shipping container. Thank you in advance for your consideration. ?

Don't bother reading other people's responses because they're all over the place. As I type, I'm staring at this pan. br>br>PAN INSIDE MEASUREMENTS = 13-INCHES 3/8 x 9- 3/8 x 2- 1/2. br>br>PAN OUTSIDE MEASUREMENTS: 14 x 10 x 2-INCHES 9/16. br>br>OUTSIDE (including handles) dimensions = 17- 5/8 x 10 x 3-inch x 3-inch x 3-inch x 3-inch x 3/8. br>br>In our opinion, this pan isn't deep enough for thick, multi-layered lasagna.

In Dec. 2018 how deep is the inside of the dang pan, not how deep it was 2 years ago, thanks?

It was purchased in November 2019 and is over 3" deep. It's a lot deeper than a standard 9x13.

Is it equipped with a weighted aluminum base, similar to those found on stainless steel pans?

It does not, in fact. It isn't quite as deep as the description suggests.

When making lasagna, do not use stainless steel pans - a "battery" is created While this is a lovely pan, it is not suitable for lasagna
3/5

I spent several hours making a traditional meat and tomato sauce lasagna, then wrapped it in foil and refrigerated it until dinner the next day. The foil had disintegrated into the lasagna the next day when I took it out of the fridge, leaving silver streaks. That struck me as strange, so I did some research and discovered that when a metal (foil) is connected to another metal (stainless steel) with an acid in between (tomato sauce), a battery is formed. like an electrical current that deteriorates the foil and, in effect, poisons your lasagna I would not purchase this or any other stainless steel lasagna pan unless you never plan to make a tomato sauce lasagna and cover it with foil.

The size of a thing can deceive you
3/5

This pan is consistently marketed as a 13 1/2-inch pan. OK. br>However, it is listed as: in the Description. 12 x 17. 52 x 3. 58 inches in length. WHAT? br>My old pan was only 3 inches deep, and I needed something bigger. As a result, I was surprised to see the number three. I asked for it to be 58 inches deep. br>It arrived as follows: br> It's only three inches deep! It's not the same size as the pan I was looking to replace! br>While it is a well-made SMALL Lasagna pan, it isn't what I was looking for, and it isn't what the description suggested. br>I RETURNED IT AND RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK.

Be aware of the size: this is a good roasting pan, but it is not as large as the listing suggests (4 x 19)
3/5

2 x 10. 5 inches. There are only two of them in the pan. It's 75 inches deep, not four. The 4 in the description refers to the height of the handles, which are 4 inches tall. I wanted a pan that was a little bit bigger than the one I already had (which is also 2. 75 inches deep) and bought it based on the description, but I was mistaken. I love the pan and plan to use it in the future.

5" vs
5/5

Is there a lasagna pan that is 14" in diameter? Cuisinart Chef's Classic 13 vs. Cuisinart Chef's Classic 13 5" vs. Lasagna Pans 14" x 14" x 14" x 14" x 14" I looked at both and couldn't tell the difference (aside from the obvious 1/2" length difference). I liked this slightly smaller size better, and it was only $28 with free 2-day shipping (!). As a result, I placed an order for this 13. 5" pan. The following day, it arrived. br>br>This is number thirteen. The 5" pan is a work of art. Definitely high-quality. Inside and out, there is a gleaming mirror finish. out. The pan is very sturdy, but not overly so. When you fill this pan to capacity and move it into and out of the oven, there's no way it'll flex, bend, or buckle. It 200% feels perfect- Sturdy, but light to medium weight- Handling and transporting the item is simple. Dimensions (inside and out) br>br> the pan's exterior) length: br>br>length: br>br>length: br>br>length: br> 5" on the inside, 14" on the outside (including the drip ledge on the pan's exterior), AND 17. TOTAL LENGTH: 25" when the distance between the outside edges of the handles is measured width: br>br>height: br>height: br>height: height: height: height: height: height 25" on the inside, 10" on the outside (including the drip ledge). height: br>br>height: br>br>height: br>br>height 3" outside measurement (from counter to top ledge of pan) / 5" inside pan (food capacity). br>br>So, keep in mind that the smallest oven you could possibly use this pan in must be a MINIMUM of 17 1/2 inches wide in order to fit 17. Outside width is 25" (including handles that protrude sideways from the pan). br>br>Now, here's the ONE major difference between this 13 and the previous one: Other than a 1/2" difference in length, the 5" and 14" lasagna pans are identical. This 13 has handles on both sides. The 5" pan is made of solid stainless steel and is tubular in shape. The metal is riveted to the pan and has "Cuisinart" engraved on it. If you look closely at the photo, you'll notice that the handles are perfectly tubular in shape. The 14" pan, on the other hand, has the wider, flattened handles that match the rest of the Cuisinart Chef's Classic collection EXACTLY. Other information: br>br> br>br>1) A subtle imprint of "Cuisinart" can be found on one side of this pan. 2) Heat Sources br>br> It can be used in the oven, under the broiler, or on the stovetop with Gas, Electric, Glass Ceramic, and/or Halogen heat sources, according to the outer box, which states that it is oven safe to 550 degrees (F). 3) Seams br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br This 13. The seamless nature of the 5" pan is a plus. This is not the case with the 14" pan. Other reviewers have claimed that it is seamed, and that as a result, there are performance issues with black residue constantly oozing out of the pan, making it impossible to clean and presumably jeopardizing the pan's core. br>br>4) Appearances- Fantastic! It's safe to use in the oven and on the stovetop. as a serving presentation piece, and/or as a top It is, without a doubt, a work of art! br>br>5) Cost: This 13. The 5" pan is a STEAL of a DEAL at only $28 with free shipping! br>br>Summary br>br> I own every piece of Chef's Classic Stainless cookware. While I would have preferred the 14" pan's flatter, perfectly matching handles, my desire for a slightly smaller pan won out. And $28 is enough for a basic 100% stainless steel small lasagna pan! This pan has made my life so much easier! I'm thinking of using it to hold candles, ornaments, hors d'oevres, or just as a mini-display case. Pizzas, loaded nachos, snacks, and more are all available! It's absolutely stunning! Like the rest of my Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Steel cookware, I expect it to clean up beautifully and quickly. I've had it for more than a decade and it still looks brand new! GET THIS WHILE YOU STILL CAN!.

It Didn't Take Long for the Finish to Wear Off
3/5

My wife and I were looking for a deep lasagna pan, and this one looked like it would do the trick. However, after cooking lasagna once, the finish on the interior rivits had completely worn off, leaving bare metal. Let me tell you something. The warranty does not cover the finish. br>br>I had hoped that a Cuisinart product would last a little longer. Their small appliances have worked out well for us.

Don't let some of the reviews fool you
3/5

Many reviews claimed that this lasagna pan was about 3 5/8" deep, so I purchased it. Not by a long shot. The handle measures 3 5/8" in length from bottom to top. The pan is only 2 3/8" deep on its own. That was a lot of lasagna in a deep dish. It's a nice pan, and I'm considering keeping it, but the description is inaccurate. Before you place your order, make sure you're aware of what you're getting into.

The size does not match the description, and the finish has come off the rivets after the first use, but the pan is still usable
4/5

The pan arrived and was exactly what we wanted: a deep dish 9 x 13 pan with a depth of approximately 3 inches, not the dimensions listed in the description but close enough. When I noticed that the finish on the rivets had worn off after the first use, I was a little disappointed. Before writing this review, I waited a few months and used the pan a few more times to see if the rivets rusted; I'm happy to report that there is no rust so far, and the only places where the finish has come off are on the rivets. br>br>The pan has minor staining and scratches where we cut the lasagna, but it's holding up well and hasn't rusted, which is a good thing. As you can see in the photos, I added rivets, stains, and scratches. Even after all these years, this pan is still fantastic.

This is a fantastic lasagna pan to choose from
5/5

For me, buying foil pans at $4 each is no longer an option. This pan can easily accommodate a four-layer lasagna with some room around the edges. The lip allows parchment and foil to form a tight seal around the lasagna, preventing it from drying out during cooking. I had my heart set on a stoneware pan, but a good one can be pricey. This was a fraction of the price I had planned to pay for a lasagna pan, so I'm very pleased with it; It has a good amount of sturdiness to it. In addition, there will be no nastier non-alcoholic beverages. Stick things in your food to cause contamination or get scratched the first time you use it.
