It isn't clear to me what you mean by two ounces. What do you mean by the mason jar that holds 1/2 cup and has a diameter of 2 1/2 inches? A small mason jar, which measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter, fits perfectly in these. The diameter is. Please accept my sincere thanks.
There's a shiny metal that looks like stainless steel, but I'm not sure what it is.
There are no jars sold here, only lids.

There is no way to clean these lids. It sounds like whatever is sealing the inside circular edges is giving me a bit of a headache. will stick to it and you will not be able to reuse the lids (which was the whole point of purchasing them in the first place).
It's just what I've been looking for! In our household, we use mason jars to store everything - This is a perfect product for cups, leftovers, storage, etc. White plastic does not seal as well as this product. There is something to be said for not needing separate rings and discs to store. The following note It is just basic lids I have used. I have not used these for actual sealing. We save left over coffee by pouring it into jars and storing it in the refrigerator so that we can have We add creamer and shake the next morning. There are no leaks in them! I love it.
I love the lids for teas, not so much for things which can get stale, but that can happen. The jars look great and fit on the jars great, but I haven't tried to use any wet ingredients yet, so I can't test how well the liquid format leaks.
The style of this lid has been used before, a long time It's a good container for jam and condiments because it allows the open jar to allow the whole product to be used. It is much simpler to reinstall This is a better fit than the two piece lid. During the 1970s, they were available for a couple of years, but then they Regular lids are in short supply this year, so I decided to try these. As of yet, everything is going well. As a matter of fact, I was a little unsure. As a result of the poorly written description, it was unclear if they were meant to be canned. Yesterday, I used seven of them and they all sealed properly but they did take a bit longer than usual to complete the seal and there was no POP after the seal was completed. The tester bubble on top of the lids were the same as the ones on the 2 piece lids this morning. The fact that they don't seal won't be a big deal for pressure canning or even tomatoes, because there isn't much you can do with jars that don't Having jam and condiments on hand allows you to keep them refrigerated. In the event they are not sealed, I will update the review.
It's almost perfect, but there's A product that no one else offers and exactly what I was looking for. 1 - *br*br Each piece is available in the A white, red, black, and unfinished color scheme. My white is all I am. It's an excellent deal because the amount of the purchase is included. It's not necessary to use the old metal lids, which eventually corrode and leave black (and probably toxic) residue around the rim of the glass. Obviously, if you are not going to use this for fluids or food then it doesn't matter. This does not deserve a five This product earns 1 star because if the lid isn't twisted on precisely in the right way, liquid will leak out. The vacuum seal on these is not the same as that on the standard 2-" Jars with these lids come in a set of two.
I like that we can now store foodstuffs in glass (plus, it looks so much nicer than plastic!). This will help me to keep foodstuffs in the best condition possible. Each of the mason jars comes with a pair of lids Those pieces consist of a lid and ring, and I find them My experience with these lids is very good. I haven't stored anything liquid with them, so I can't speak to the quality of liquid storage, but for dry goods, they are great.
It's a lot easier to deal with them than standard ring and seal lids. In addition to sealing tightly, they allow the jars to be used for storing things that don't require water bath canning, such as salad dressing. You can also store items like little nails and thumbtacks in them. It is easy to clean up after using them, and they are recyclable.
The 2 part lids were getting old to me having to wash them by hand. As far as I can tell, they are leak-free and have been washed twice fine in the dishwasher.
