The lid fits my Kerr jar nicely, but since I wanted it for homemade salad dressing I needed to pour and store it in the jar. I had to clean all of the dressing off the outside of the pour spout after pouring and had to wipe it off very often.
If you use a normal mason jar lid, the lip tends to become so sticky that it's difficult to open it. In this case, the lid solves the problem as it is easy to open and close and is easy to pour from as well. This dishwashing machine is easy to clean. I found this to be very helpful.
