There is no information about the plastic gasket rings that come with this item and I guess they are supposed to be used in order to make it This is a pain since once the ring is in the lid it's sure hard to remove it, but it must be done to clean because otherwise mold and grime will build up inside. There is no need to use the rings and I am just hoping nothing leaks out. If I just use them in the fridge there shouldn't be any issue. The main reason I purchased these was because I was tired of hand washing my mason jars and using the 2 part metal rings and lids that come with them. Furthermore, other reviewers have noted that these can be hit or miss in terms of how easily they will fit There are slight variations in the size of every lid.

Despite some reviewers reporting that they had problems putting the silicon ring in place, I used something pointy to push it in place and am not experiencing any issues. There are some individuals who say it's hard to tie or untie them, but I just put a piece of paper towel or kitchen rag over them and it works fine. As long as the silicon ring was in place, I did not experience leaks. I am only concerned with the fact that they are manufactured in China. In a box with the order, it says, "China". I found out about it when I got them. Since they were made out of so unsafe a material, it's hard for me to believe they're made of good stuff. We are disappointed in.

Since I have been a ceramic jar fan for so long, it is hard for me to believe I haven't bought these before. Over the years, there have been so many rusty jar lids. I am very pleased with these, as they're adorable and functional at the same time.

As much as I wanted to like these, I couldn't. It's not as if I didn't have a reason for getting them. Although I had initially assumed that all the negative reviews were due to people not knowing what they are doing, I'm glad I was right. There is nothing good about these. Since they are so hard to put on straight, I am not even sure if they are leak proof. Each kid keeps getting off the track and then sitting on the jar with their foreheads against it. My first 4 were returned and I packed the other four up for resale. That would not be worth my time.

The features that are most appreciated are These jar lids combine the removable rubber rings which make the lids surprisingly snug, with two sizes of lids that can be used as replacements for Ball canning jars. In my pantry, I use these jars to package and store pasta, cereals, sugars, and other foods like that.
