Questions & Answers

Is the single-serve brew basket included or is it available for purchase separately?

There is a single serve basket included in the package.

Is there a way to silence the beeping?

I don't know of any. You cannot, according to the book.

I'm curious about the height of this coffee maker. ?

It measures 14" in height, 7" in width, and 11" in depth. The lid for accessing the filter and coffee grounds is located on the top of the unit and lifts straight up, so keep that in mind as well. I can't tell how tall the lid is when it's open because I can't tell how tall it is when it's closed.

Excellent Coffee Maker with a Simple Operation
5/5

This is a fantastic coffee machine. It heats the water to a temperature that allows for optimal extraction. It's a fantastic alternative for k-cup users. A single cup of coffee can be brewed quickly. It'll be more flavorful than a k-cup. a cup of coffee This is a basic coffee maker with no timers or other bells and whistles for those who just want a good cup of coffee. br>br>- I checked the temperature of the shower head with my Thermapen. It finished at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which is, in my opinion, the ideal temperature for brewing coffee. My water is always heated to a temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. - Because the machine will automatically brew all of the water in the tank, if you're making a single cup, make sure to measure the water for the cup or you'll end up with overflow or insufficient water. Overflow is caught in a small reservoir beneath the carafe/cup area.
- If you're making a single cup of coffee, measure the water into the tank with your CLEAN coffee cup. Ensure that the cup is CLEAN before using it. If your cup isn't clean, coffee oils and other contaminants will contaminate your tank. If you're going to measure your water with a carafe, make sure it's clean as well. THIS IS NOT AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXAMPLE OF AN 8 US Fluid Oz = 1 US Cup Oxo has changed the definition of a cup to 5 fl oz in order to claim that their coffee maker is an 8 cup coffee maker
3/5

The machine is of excellent quality, but I'm returning it because it's not what I was looking for.

With a little tweaking, it's perfect for us
5/5

Coffee is something we really enjoy. My husband prefers decaf coffee, while I prefer a robust dark roast. As a result, we've been using a keurig. I've been on the lookout for coffee makers recently because I drink a lot of coffee. I noticed the new Oxo 8 cup, which has a shower head and is compatible with 10 different devices. 20 oz. and 20 oz. I chose Oxo because it had a 40-ounce brewing option. I didn't have very high hopes because I adore my Chemex. However, I wanted to give it a shot for the sake of practicality. br>The coffee machine arrived in a few days, and we are very happy with it. We're going to keep our Keurig in the basement, I believe. Advantages: br>br>
- Using it is a breezebr>- Small and with a sleek design - not too bulkybr>- br>Functionalbr> Coffee with a great flavor -br> The coffee will stay hot in the carafe for about an hour. br>- mug adjuster in single serve option (fits small and 20 oz coffee termal mugs easily)br>- br>- Includes a single serve adjustment accessorybr>- Cleaning is simplebr>br>Cons:
- There is no need to schedule anything ahead of timebr>- There isn't a heated platform available. br>- If you need coffee for a large group, this may not be the best option (40 oz maximum capacity)br>- No need for a water filterbr>br>It works great for us! We have the option of selecting our preferred coffee. One of us can have a good decaf, while the other can have a strong french press. br>br>K cups are no longer available. We chose the most environmentally friendly versions because we were both feeling guilty. br>br>Update for December 2021: Since September 2020, we have used our coffee machine a couple of times a day. We enjoy the taste of our coffee and the fact that we can each make our own cup with our favorite coffee (I still prefer dark roast and enjoy trying new coffee types, while my husband prefers decaf). br>If our coffee machine breaks down, the first thing I'll do is order an Oxo 8 cup from Amazon as soon as possible.

Coffee with a lot of flavor and is well balanced
5/5

When it comes to making a perfect cup of coffee at home, this coffee maker is the best I've ever owned. coffee that has been brewed The coffee in both the large and small baskets was of the same high quality. The fact that this machine can make a full pot or a single cup is fantastic. br>br>The only problem with cleaning is that the water in the pot does not drain completely. The pot's lip is designed to prevent you from pouring every last drop out. Of course, you can use a towel to dry it or leave it to air dry. Finally, I would prefer that the water not be heated in plastic. I'd like a water compartment made entirely of stainless steel.

The coffee was not hot, and it was not worth the price
3/5

As a result, the flavor did not correspond to the quantity of coffee I used in the brewing cup. A coffee maker that is overpriced. After all of the positive feedback, this was a huge letdown. It could be a lot better, in my opinion.

Minor issues, no help from Oxo I'm very happy with this coffeemaker, but I have two concerns that lead me to believe I may have received a defective one
4/5

First, the lights in the kitchen and adjacent bedroom flicker while I'm brewing coffee. It's most likely due to the large amount of electricity required to heat the water so quickly, but I've never had this problem with any other appliance, including an electric kettle. Second, after the brew cycle, the machine leaves a large amount of water in the reservoir. I use a 20-ounce bottle. To make coffee, you'll need bottles of purified water. If I've drained the excess water, this amount nearly fills it to the 4-gallon mark. When I don't empty the machine first, it fills to about 413 cup, which means it holds almost 2 oz. of water. This also means that if I want 4 cups of coffee, I'll need to fill the reservoir to around 413 cups. br>br>I've emailed Oxo support at the address listed in the user's manual, but have yet to receive a response.

The water is far too hot
3/5

We had high hopes for this product, but it fell short. Our coffee tasted burnt and bitter because the brew temperature was too high. Our methods of using a French press and pouring it over worked a lot better. We were relieved to discover that Amazon Prime had a return option!.
