Questions & Answers

It is stated in the description that it will make 6 servings. 12 ounces of coffee How is this possible if, according to some reviews, it only holds 8 oz of water?

I had no idea it was 6 to 12 oz. I use a 16 oz. styro and I'm sure I'm putting in a solid 14 oz., and it brews it all.

Is it necessary for the pod to mention Keurig?

Thank you for contacting us. Customers in the K-cup system are not restricted to brewing only Keurig-owned and licensed brand pods. Coffee Maker for Small Spaces However, we recommend using our Keurig K-series coffee maker to brew your coffee. To get the most out of your beverage, use cup pods. I hope this information is useful.

I bought mine on January 30th, and it hasn't worked since. I'm past the deadline for returning the item. So, what's the best course of action for me?

After two months, mine stopped working. Please dial this number: 1- 213- 9100, I only had to tell them it wasn't working, that I found the S/N on the bottom of the machine, and that I would send them a photo of the machine and the S/N, and they would "process it" in three days. Allow four days for a replacement to be sent. I didn't need a receipt because it was a Christmas present from my son, so I only needed photos. It won't hurt to give it a shot, and best of luck!

What is the major distinction between the mini and the mini plus?

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. Aside from the K-type's characteristics, The K-cup coffee maker is a small coffee maker. A removable water reservoir, a strong feature, and a premium metallic finish are all included in the Mini Plus coffee maker. We hope this information is useful.

Selected User Reviews For Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker, Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Brewer, 6 to 12 Oz. Brew Sizes, Dusty Rose

Is this the pinnacle of single-serve dispensers? I was one of the first customers to purchase a Keurig K-series coffee maker
5/5

Before they became such a common kitchen item, there were only a few cup machines. I stayed with them when their machines devolved from well-built to essentially throwaway junk, and when they tried – and failed – to lock users into only using their own brand of pods through a dubious lockout scheme. br>br>Over time, in order to achieve the quality it required, I progressed from their plasticky home brewers to their commercial products, and now own a K-Cup. 150, which is one of their best-ever products, in my opinion. So, first and foremost, I am not a newcomer to the Keurig ecosystem, and second, I didn't require another brewer. I didn't think I did, at least not at the time. ORIGIN OF THE MINIbr>br>However, as I travel, I notice that many of the hotels I stay in have the original Keurig single serve compact brewer, so I always bring a few coffee, tea, and occasionally hot chocolate pods with me so I can brew a quick cup in my room. That hotel room version is (was) nice, but it is (was) poorly designed and unfit for use at home. When I first saw the upgraded K-, I thought it was a joke. I was captivated by the mini model. I hoped that, because of its small size, it would be a viable option for me to take with me when traveling, to use at our cabin or vacation properties, or even to use for something more special, something close to my heart - Use with tea bags or other instant beverages as a single cup hot shot hot water dispenser. br>br>THE HOT WATER MAGIC TRICKbr>br>You see, the world desperately needs a good single-serve, very fast hot water dispenser, but no one realizes it. There is one very inexpensive model that has been around for a long time and has more flaws than benefits, as well as a few models from Japan that are overpriced and have design flaws. Then there was one perfect model that had been available for a few months and which I should have purchased a dozen of out of fear that it would be discontinued. They eventually stopped, and the one I bought still works, though it is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. I was hoping that this new Keurig would help me fill the void in my kitchen for something I could use to quickly boil a cup of water for a late-night cup of tea or cocoa. And yes, this is the end of the story. br>br>AS A COFFEE MAKERbr>br>As a single cup coffee brewer, the mini does everything you'd expect, so I won't go into detail. You place a single pod in the familiar snap-down receptacle, add a cup of water to the permanently attached reservoir, and press a single button, and your coffee is ready in a few minutes. The good news is that if you don't put a pod in it, everything else goes on as usual, except that what comes out is hot, clear water that you can use for tea or anything else. What's more, depending on how much you pour in, you can choose anywhere between 6 and 12 ounces of water. Most other similar devices disperse a precise amount of water, usually 8 ounces. This one returns the same amount of liquid as you put in, allowing you to make your tea, soup, or cocoa as strong as you want. br>br>WHY I LOVE ITbr>br>I usually save 5 stars for the best of the best, and I have to say that this little gem has me very excited. It's well-made and doesn't feel cheap, and the overall design is a masterclass in simplicity and perfection. The first thing I noticed was a small cutout on the back where I could store some or all of the power cord – which, by the way, has a 3-prong plug. commercial plug with three prongs and a ground If you keep it on your kitchen counter, you can easily pull out just the amount of cord you need to reach the outlet, and if you travel with it, you can easily stow the entire cord safely away. After plugging it in, lift a hinged door on the top of the unit and pour water in, and you're not limited to a fixed amount; you can fill it with anywhere between 6 and 12 ounces to suit your coffee strength taste or to fill a travel mug, and yes, it will easily fill a full size auto mug. After you've poured the water, you'll need to lift the handle, which will turn the power on automatically, and insert a K-cup. Press the handle back down on the cup, then press the top-mounted brew button. The light surrounding the button will stop flashing, the water will heat up, and your coffee will be brewed. If you don't do anything else, such as make another cup, the power will automatically turn off after 40 seconds. It took me just under 1 minute and 18 seconds from pressing the button to filling the cup. And, unlike most similar brewers, the water stays extremely hot from cup to cup. br>br>One feature that piqued my interest was the fact that no water is wasted in the process; when I put exactly one cup into it, exactly one cup comes out. The majority of coffee makers are incapable of doing so. You also don't have to clean it because there isn't a holding tank like there is in a full-size car. When you pour water into a standard coffee maker, it is pulled straight through, heated, and dispensed. There is no standing water inside that can cause mold to grow. br>br>WHAT REALLY SOLD MEbr>br>As you can see, I'm very impressed and enthusiastic about this. I thought it would be nice to have when I first saw it, but I had no idea I'd use it at home instead of my big fancy commercial grade brewer. I was completely off the mark. I now keep the two next to each other and use the mini whenever I need a cup of hot water for tea, soup, hot chocolate, or anything else. But I didn't expect to use the mini for those occasions when I only want to make one single K-cup. I need a cup of coffee during the day and don't want to wait for my full-size brewer to heat up the entire tank of water, nor do I want to make a pot of traditional coffee. Despite some reviewers who didn't understand what this thing is, it is the FASTEST way to make a cup of coffee from scratch in my kitchen; the entire process of making one cup takes about two minutes, and there is no cleanup or leftover water that can develop a bad taste. That means I'm using it at least twice a day now, and it's become a necessity. You know what that means: I'd better go ahead and buy a bunch of them now, just in case they go out of production. BUY OR NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br>NOTbr>br> I bring this up because a couple of disgruntled users who didn't realize that they were posting negative comments about the water tank's size or the fact that it isn't meant to be used with those finicky adapters that require manual filling with ground coffee. I've never seen the point in spending a half-hour filling and cleaning those devices in order to save two cents - They defeat the whole point of K-cups, which are fast, convenient, and require no cleanup. No, there isn't a multi-cup here. What you pour into the cup water tank is heated before being poured into your cup. That is why it is referred to as a single serve brewer. br>br>I'm perplexed as to why anyone thinks 2 minutes is excessively long to wait for a cup of coffee. My full-size Keurig takes over 10 minutes to warm up before I can make my first cup, and my Bunn coffee maker also takes over 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee the last time I went to Starbucks. Most electric hot water makers take about 8 minutes to come to a boil, while a pot on my stove takes about 5 minutes. What exactly are they comparing it to if it can boil a cup of water in under two minutes? br>br>HINTSbr>br>If you compare this brewer to any other, it is the fastest I've ever seen, taking about 1 minute and 18 seconds from the time you pour water into it until your cup of coffee is ready. It's unfortunate that so many people are comparing a single-use item to a multi-use item. serve machine to full capacity size coffee makers that have already spent time heating up an entire tank of water and the user's only job is to dispense it Of course, that will be "faster" by a few seconds. br>br>Because the time it takes to boil a cup of water at sea level and at high altitudes differs significantly, some people may quote different heating times for their brewer. That is science, and there is nothing you can do about it. br>br>After lowering the pod compartment handle, all Keurig brewers require you to press the brew button right away. The machine will go into standby after a few seconds, requiring you to lift and lower the handle. This explains why some users said their unit didn't work or wouldn't dispense water: they didn't read the instructions. br>br>THE FINAL WORDbr>br>This gadget has given me more satisfaction than anything else I've seen this year since I first opened the box. It's perfect in every way. If you enjoy the ease of K-cups, this is the place to be. This is the perfect single cup hot water maker if you like to make a quick cup of coffee, tea, cocoa, or soup with no prep time and no cleanup, don't have a lot of counter space or need a personal brewer for a dorm room or office cubicle, or are looking for the perfect single cup hot water maker. It comes highly recommended from me.

I should've realized what I was getting myself into
3/5

It's a good thing they don't build cars. I should've paid attention to the negative feedback. It worked well at first. For approximately three weeks. With each button press, it will now only take in 2 oz of water. In order to make an 8-ounce cup of coffee, you must raise the handle. lowering 4- Activate the switch 5 times. It's a form of exercise. And, for some reason, the coffee is weaker than usual. It isn't particularly warm. I didn't want to order Keurig brand coffee, but my husband recommended it. He is no longer in that state of mind. And it appears that we simply missed our chance to return. Isn't this wonderful?.

It is not possible to use a reusable filter
3/5

Already discarded. You can only make 12 ounces at a time. The reusable Keurig filter will not fit in this (yes, even the Keurig filter will not fit). In fact, it became stuck, and I was unable to free it, rendering the machine completely useless. No, even after removing the bottom catch tray, travel mugs will not fit. It's difficult to find an open space to plug this in because the cord is only about two feet long. Do not squander your cash.

Love it
5/5

This machine was ordered to replace a much larger one I had previously, which had finally died after many years of service. This one appeals to me more because the color is more appealing and it takes up less counter space. I like that it only holds one cup of water at a time, because my son had a bad habit of letting the water in his big, black Keurig sit for a few days before using it. Gross. Now I know he won't be able to do that with this machine, which makes a great cup of coffee and is quieter than my old one. I can't say enough good things about it. It is something I strongly suggest.

In January, everything is as slow as molasses
3/5

This machine takes an eternity to make a cup of coffee when compared to the Bunn MyCafe we replaced. Put the Kcup in the Bunn, fill it with water, and press the button. You have a cup of coffee in less than 30 seconds. You add water and wait (what seems like an eternity) for a brew light to appear before pressing the brew button. After some more waiting, it draws the water in and (you guessed it) brews for another two minutes. There will be plenty of time to fill your kettle with water and boil it for tea. This machine will be returned, and a new MyCafe will be installed in its place.

Extremely temperamental! This machine has a lot of quirks

It works on some days, but not on others. I'm attempting to return and obtain a different model.

After only 3 months of use, the item broke
3/5

Broken! This was a present for my father, who is now a widow and lives alone. The machine worked fine for two months before breaking down after only three months of use. br>When we make a cup of coffee, the machine makes a lot of noise, and water and coffee leak down and all over the counter, even though the coffee does not go in the cup. We are frustrated and disappointed because we follow the operation and maintenance procedures.

This isn't going to work
3/5

It's not going to work. It does not heat the water before it is dispensed. This is something you should not buy.
