In the words of Wikipedia, "Aluminized steel is steel that has been heated to a high temperature." Aluminium is dipped on both sides. alloy made of silicon This process ensures a strong metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and the aluminum coating, resulting in a material with a unique set of properties that neither steel nor aluminum alone can offer. Aluminized steel resists corrosion better1 and retains the properties of the base material steel at temperatures below 800 °C (1,470 °F). " It's a little less non-traditional." It's less prone to sticking than stainless steel, and it bakes evenly. One of my all-time favorite pie pans is this one. The coating may, however, break down if the aluminum coating breaks. This is the first time in over 5 years that I've had this issue.
I'm not sure. Cooking in a dutch oven is something I'm unfamiliar with.
In my order for 13, there was only one pan. Plus tax, at $99 This is an excellent skillet. It appeals to me.
This is an excellent pan. I haven't used a crumb crust, but I have used similar techniques and they all slice and turn out perfectly. Nothing sticks to it as it browns without burning. I don't use the dishwasher to clean it.

I bake a lot of pies, so this is by far my favorite pie pan. What I like about it is its heft and thickness, which translates to excellent browning of the bottom crust. I also like glass pie plates, but I think the aluminized steel pan does a better job. Once the pie has cooled, I can easily remove it from the pan without it sticking. If you're using a glass pie pan, you might want to try it. The pan's angled sides and extended lip are also appealing, as they are ideal for crimping and baking dough that stays put. .
The pie pan is thick, study, and lovely. Thank you, USAPAN; your products are consistently excellent. When I serve pie in this pan, I will murder anyone who uses a metal knife/pie server. I'm serious; I'll spend the next 20 years avenging this pan: )br>br>Unfortunately, the packaging or storage conditions had resulted in dents in the item, causing the Americoat to fall off. However, an Amazon customer service representative sent me a replacement with express international shipping and instructed me to keep the old one. So there's no harm done. br>br>I highly recommend this pan. I'm a pie connoisseur with over a hundred different pie pans, including cast iron, silicone, steel, aluminum, and stoneware. This one is the icing on the cake.
After failing to find a metal pie pan in the stores, I turned to Amazon. I purchased two, each of a different brand, with this being the better of the two. It bakes evenly and is larger than the pie pans used by chain pie restaurants. As a result, I won't have to waste any of the pumpkin pie mix because this larger pie pie will hold everything. I'm ordering a second pan because I like it so much. The best part is that it's made in the United States!.
Should I request a refund after the first wash because they started to rust?.
In a glass dish, I made the first pies. The pies were firmly attached. br>br>So I went online to look for a solution to the pie sticking problem and, of course, came up empty-handed. br>br>However, one (but not all) person claimed that pies stick to glass dishes. As a result, I went out and purchased this pie plate. br>br>It's well-made, sturdy, easy to clean, and attractive, and my pies no longer stick to it. at all. The mission has been completed. br>br>I also purchased a Pain De Mie bread pan from the same manufacturer, which is still going strong after five years. In addition, bread does not stick to this pan.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no I noticed a lot of scratched spots right out of the box. They appeared to have been dropped and dragged on the cement floor for quite some time! I am so disappointed that this occurred so close to Thanksgiving. My goal of making perfect pies with evenly browned crusts has been thwarted. Ugh!.
Ever. Chef Jim Dodge, the pie guru, strongly recommended these pans. He wasn't exaggerating when he said that. They work extremely well together. After only a few uses, I decided to donate my half-used pair. dozen- additionally, a collection of glass and aluminum pie pans will be donated to charity. I haven't looked back since then!.
This pie pan was purchased in November of last year. I was ecstatic with how well the pumpkin pie turned out the first time I used it. My second pie, a blueberry pie, turned out beautifully as well. However, as I washed the empty pan, I noticed that the coating was flaking off. I used a non-alcoholic beverage both times. I served the pie with a metal utensil both times, and I hand-washed the pan with a cotton dishcloth both times. When I contacted the company, I received no response. When I resisted, they referred me to Amazon, which promptly issued a refund. The product, which is made in the United States, has left me very disappointed. We used to be proud of the products we made. This business appears to be unconcerned about the quality of its goods!.
