It's made of carbon steel, as far as I can tell. The phenomenon of coating peeling was not reflected in product reviews. It appears to be a good pie, and I intend to purchase one as well.
Newer products, of all brands, claim to be free of this, but I'd check with the manufacturer first. In addition, I never cook with nonstick cookware above 400°F.

The hole was barely covered by the bottom section (a flat circle). There was enough room to slide the section to the left or right, leaving a small gap between the circle's edge and the hole. I believe that if the circle extended all the way to the edge of the sidewall, it would be much easier to remove the dish once it was done cooking. Because the edges aren't supported, it appears as if it will push through the crust's bottom.
It baked up nicely and tasted great. It's thick but not overly so, and it's simple to clean.
I ordered this tart pan because I needed one with a removable bottom. When it comes to tarts and quiches, this is my go-to pan. When you take the bottom off, everything looks so nice and professional. Nothing sticks to it, so it's very easy to clean. I think it's best to bake it on a thin sheet pan so it's easier to place and remove. Otherwise, be cautious to ensure that you are picking it up from the bottom. I'll keep looking for more, perhaps something a little bigger.

I've had this for a while and it hasn't held up well; the coating appears to be damaged, despite the fact that I've been hand washing it. The bottom ring does not appear to be well-fitting either.

The four tiny pans are next on my list to try- When the husband needs a treat, this is the ideal size to keep in the freezer! If you need to slide anything under the tart, use silicone utensils, and make sure the sides are well sprayed or greased before baking. I mean, isn't that standard procedure? Have fun!.
