This cup is 44ml in volume, and the efflux time(sec) is between 20 and 80 seconds

The measurement range is 35 to 80 centistokes (cSt).

This viscosity meter meets the ASTM D4212 standard and can measure the viscosity of liquids such as paints, inks, varnishes, syrups, and oils.

With CNC drilling technology, high-speed Stainless Steel Cups are precisely molded and drilled with either laser or CNC technology, depending on the requirement.

Questions & Answers

In order to calibrate the #3 cup, what kind of oil or solvent is recommended?

In my experience, there's no way to calibrate the cup, and I've never been able to get the same result consistently -- or even at all, for that matter. I ended up buying a digital viscometer instead, but I'm yet to use it.

Can you tell me if this set contains ?

A set of #1 through #5 is NOT included in this set. ONLY ONE cup is included in the price. If you choose #1 to #5, you have a lot of options to choose from. Thank you for asking me that

Would a Zahn cup be the best option for measuring viscosity in a liquid type beverage?

I am sorry, but most liquid beverages are not suitable for drinking. No. 2 Zahn Cup is sufficient for Sprite, but the No. 2 Zahn Cup is sufficient for Zahn Cup. It takes one ZahnCup to measure. You might be able to narrow down the type of liquid you wish to test if I know what it is. If you have questions not covered in this FAQ, you can reach out to us.

Can a thick mixture pass through cup #3 to be measured? How big is the hole in cup #3 and how thick can the mixture be?
