Questions & Answers

Is it magnetic to a high degree?

Magnetic fields can pull it in.

"Thin" isn't going to cut it. I'm trying to figure out how thick the 6 inch ruler is. ?

The SSRA- The thickness of a 06 6" ruler is approximately 0. 0315”

Are there any sharp edges on the corners?

I purchased a 24 inch round-cornered ruler with a corked back. When I use it, I don't get any cuts. br>Due to the round corner, the actual length is slightly longer than 24 inches.

Is this ruler flexible, or does it have a stiffness to it? Thanks. ?

Hello. I would say yes because the 24" is significantly longer than the standard size. It is easily bendable. But, if used correctly, it isn't so bad. Thank you very much.

Make sure it'll work for you before you try it
3/5

I bought it so I wouldn't have to keep going back and forth to my cutting table to get my 2 foot metal ruler. I wanted something nice but not too expensive, and it needed to have a cork back to protect the photos I use it on. It's well-made and appears to be durable, but I just used it for the first time and discovered (after cutting) that the zero mark does not begin at the ruler's front edge! I understand that some of these companies do this to avoid inaccurate measurements caused by marks or bending the front edge, but I needed something that measured from the very edge, not a 1/8 inch in. Because it isn't obvious in the pictures, it would have been nice to have that in the description! It was my fault for not paying attention, but it really needs to be stated! Now it's time to find one that actually starts at the edge!.

Cooking is a breeze
5/5

A ruler was required for cooking (measuring the amount of oil or water in a pan, the length of dough, and so on). I didn't want it to be too big, and it had to be made entirely of stainless steel - There is no cork backing! This was ideal for my requirements and has served me well. It's simple to clean and takes up little room. There are times when I think a 12" would have been better, but it's not a big deal most of the time.

Inches and centimeters are measured in the opposite direction
3/5

Look for a different ruler if you want to be able to make the conversion. This ruler is really nice. I just wish the cm and inches were oriented the same way. I bought this to make quick conversions, but the fact that they run in opposite directions isn't helping me at all.

Although it is a high-quality ruler, it is not what I was looking for
4/5

This ruler was purchased to aid in the measurement of moles and lesions during physical examinations. I chose this model over the miltex simply because of the price difference; however, the difference is significant enough that I will be relegating this ruler to desktop use and purchasing the miltex instead. It's just a tad too heavy, and the corners are a tad too sharp, which I don't want to poke my patients with inadvertently. br>I'm sure this ruler would be ideal for almost any other task besides patient care.

It's great to have a cork back
5/5

It's nice to have a cork back to keep it from slipping. When cutting directly against the ruler with a knife, the metal ruler is preferable because it does not cut or notch.

It's essential that you have it with you when you leave the house
4/5

If you're anything like me, you'll be constantly trying to figure out what's going on. I mean, I take measurements of everything. br>Place one in a plastic shirt pocket pen holder and you'll be good to go. br>Remember to bring your Poindexter spectacles.

It's a challenge to read
3/5

Horizontal marks in the metal appear about every 50 mm on the ruler, which is very distracting; during the production of rollers? Furthermore, actual rule markings are not as distinct and easy-to-understand as they should be. As I had hoped, the book was well-written and well-read.

I was in desperate need of something
5/5

It's possible that this isn't exactly what you're looking for. It appeals to me. It's thin, light, and the bottom keeps it from slipping while cutting or drawing. . . It's ideal for most of my needs. br>However, it is thin and bends (though not in a way that renders it useless; ) ). So it may or may not be suitable for you, depending on your requirements. Also, it appears that Home Depot sells thicker rulers at a lower price. br>I keep it in my desk drawer because I find it useful. It's ideal for cutting cardboard and photos up to 15'' in length. (I'd prefer something more durable for longer cuts. ).
