I used them in kid's kits and gave them all away, but they had 1/2-inch, 1/4-inch, and 1/8-inch marks on them. I hope this has been of assistance.
It isn't magnetic, to be sure.

Yes. On a magnetized surface, they will stick. I keep these in my lab, along with screwdrivers and files, on a magnetic strip. This was a fantastic buy that will last for a long time.

The scales' measuring portion is fairly accurate - within a line width's worth of distance's worth of distance's worth of distance's worth However, some of the ends aren't properly cut, so the "0" isn't truly zero. It's fine if they leave 1mm or more, as long as you KNOW it's not zero. But it's a coincidental occurrence. Some are perfect, some are too long, and some are, unfortunately, a tad too short. br>br>Some of the edges also have terrible burrs - sufficient for slicing br>br>However, for the price, they are good scales if you put in a little elbow grease.
br>However, the steel is extremely sturdy, and the scales are exceptionally sharp. Storage is provided in the form of a vinyl sleeve. br>Excellent value for money (I purchased a six-pack).
I'm not sure how accurate it is, to be honest. I can't calibrate it because I don't have anything with which to do so. It's a little flimsy, but it's unlikely to break in half unless you do so on purpose. The edges are a little sharp, but they're nice and straight for drawing and cutting. Although I've never been cut, the very square edges and thin metal give me the impression that it might. I would strongly recommend it for the price.
I used to have a nice 6" steel ruler in my shop, but I misplaced it. As replacements, I ordered these. I'm not sure if they're scientifically accurate, but they'll suffice for my woodworking needs and are inexpensive. They're not 1" wide (they're 5/8"), as one of the other reviews pointed out, but I don't see anything in the description that says they're 1" wide, so perhaps that was updated.
These are good, but only five of them can be used. On the metric side, several of them had a second line of printed hash marks outside of the true marks, making reading measurements nearly impossible. The corners of several of the starting ends were significantly rounded, making it difficult to accurately position them. I ordered these to use in detailed model building, so my almost unreasonable pickiness isn't entirely justified; after all, I shouldn't expect an engineering-grade instrument for a dollar on Amazon! The printed markings are crisp and precise, as well as square and warp-free. Order a set, select the best, and give the rest away to regular people who will most likely enjoy them!.
I was able to feed them into the mill and clean up one end to bring them closer together. The same could be done with a belt sander or by hand, but for the money, I'd rather lay them out and go grab another when I need one. They eventually gather in a group where I continue to place them.
This small ruler was purchased for use in my bullet journal. Unfortunately, one of the ruler's edges has a small jagged area, making it impossible to draw a straight line with a writing utensil on that side (which is also quite sharp). Fortunately, the other side is in good working order, so I can use it; all I have to do now is remember which side it is. I'm going to have to get a new one at some point.
This ruler is kept in the pouch of my moleskine for bullet journaling and has proven to be very useful, but it is extremely sharp.
