Is it true that the black color is Translucent?

It has a cloudy appearance.

Does it have a tendency to break?

The black 6-inch model is what I have. I don't think I'm stressing the plastic by holding one end flat on the table and picking up the other end at least 2 inches off the table. It has a flexible but sturdy feel to it in this regard. I haven't dropped it yet, so I'm not sure how brittle it is or whether it would break if dropped on a corner. I'm sure it'll work out fine, and I'm happy with them.

Is there a bevel on the edges?

The ruler's edge is slanted, to be sure.

Very precise, simple to read, light, and durable

a great deal Every day at work, I use a variety of rulers, so I have a large collection to handle a variety of tasks. For two of my travel kits, I needed a couple of 6" light weights. Because they'll only be used once in a while, toughness and durability aren't a big deal. I needed metric and inch scales, as well as good accuracy, some flexibility, and a total length of less than six feet. To fit in my fountain pen, ink pen, and mechanical pencil case, I cut it down to 25" long. (They're approximately 6 inches long. ) These rulers were ideal for the job (1875). It's simple to read the marks. There isn't even a logo in the overall design, which is refreshing. The only thing I'd change is to add a bevel to the inch side (like there is on the metric side). The pair of black ones are perfect for my needs, but if you need some for your kids or other regular use where they might get lost or broken, the four-pack is a great deal. eBoot's clear ones in a pack - For $6, you get four. Yes! The use of eBoot rulers is strongly advised.

I'm extremely happy. I require these rulers in order to concentrate and read each line online. Because I have dyslexia, this eliminates some "rereads" and allows me to retain more of what I'm reading.

The package was damaged when it arrived

Item arrived damaged, so I'm unable to measure in centimeters: (I won't return it because I still need it and can use the other side for the time being, but it was disappointing to see it in this condition. ).
