Buying a inexpensive magazine is a good idea A base indicator was purchased on Amazon and the base broke in the first week. Setup in the 4 jaw chuck is done using a set-to indicator. The new mag base he received was well received, and his tests on the indicator agreed with mine.

It works well with lathes and other manual machines. A fairly smooth and repeatable process. In the end, as long as you consistently check it with gage blocks or standards and find it to be accurate and repeatable, it will be fine. I just don't understand why someone would machine $1000 parts with a $5 indicator. Their prices are competitive with other companies, and they are a trustworthy company. All tasks requiring a better grade Precision of . 001" or an error of +/- 0. 01 It doesn't matter as I'm using a test indicator anyway.

For two Mighty Mag bundles and indicators, I paid 63 dollars with tax. These are a great price for what we intend to use them.

I was again sent one, but the seller informed me there had been quality issues and he sent me Since being unable to tap the magnet on both occasions, I would not have decided to purchase from this seller. I found the gauge to be accurate and incredible. would say you might expect Chinese made magnets to be less reliable than American made products, but I think the gauge was better made than the magnet.
