Questions & Answers
There is no requirement to use the clamp for fine adjustments. If it wasn't there, the system would actually be more rigid. In spite of that, it is a nice feature when your indicator doesn't have much travel.
The indicators are available in 6mm, 8mm, 3/8", and Dovetail sizes.
It is 5 inches long. We can expect it to reach somewhere between 8 and 10 days The most common applications require a 9 inch diameter.
The clamping power on base end depends on what is being clamped. Almost anything can be made if you are skilled enough to machinate it.

NOGA products have a rigid, well-balanced design that helps them to move easily as needed. As opposed to other Noga models, the indicator holder comes with more options for mounting it. Precision and consistency are evident in the adjustments. initially bought Edge Technology's version of the same thing but was disappointed that it could not be locked, was flimsy, and moved if bumped or was too far away from the table when it was being used. Among her dislikes I only object to the fact that the stem that goes into the collet has a diameter of In my opinion, the 3/8 stem would save a tool change as most edge finders are 3/8" or 1/2" in diameter, but it is a minor complaint since Noga lives up to their quality reputation, and so far I have not yet found any better alternatives.
Nice, but you will need a collet holder for it since the diameter is metric, so no hard body holder, no big deal. There are quite a few words in it, however. The holder for your interapid indicators is not like the standard Swiss-made ones. You probably use it on your CNC mill, as most readers do. One of the things I like about this particular one is that it has a fine tuning adjustment knob that works great when the indicator is close to the surface of the part and the dial bezel is tight or very sensitive. I highly recommend this product and I'll probably buy two or three.
It is fair to say that I am not a machinist, but a Quality Engineer in a large manufacturing facility. My mini mill is a DIY hobby, and I bought it because I'm a DIYer. As someone who takes pride in everything I do, it was evident right away that I would enjoy this. There is nothing like this out there, it's extremely well made and you can tighten it up and it's We use it to tram our mill, and we are amazed by its performance. When I need similar products in the future, I will be sure to keep this manufacturer in mind.
The thing is great, but my first impression was that it came defective from It is possible to take up some of the slop in each ball joint with split rings, but the one in the larger ball joint has been Shame on you. Machine tools like these are intended to prevent defects, but here is an example of a defective one. It's so sad.
It is built to a high standard. A dovetailed and cylindrical indicator mounts easily and securely with the clamps. There is no restriction to the placement of this design, and it I have not experienced rigidity limitations with the fine adjustment others have criticized, and it has been a convenient way to zero the indicator dial when needed. Holder of a high grade.
It cannot be used to accurately locate fixtures. Compared to a normal Uni Ball mount, the Uni Ball mount is offset by The number "001". As a general rule, I recommend something to indicate the location and position of fixtures and scroll surface features using a magnetic base, attempting to find the origin of the work piece by looking at the spindle. In the event you would prefer something that looks cute and feels nice, you are free to choose such a thing. Noga bases are my favorite, but this is not one of them. There is no budget for the shank of this arm.
Flexible arm that works well. After a simple twist, it locks into place and does a great job of holding my indicator while indicating fixtures and setting up jobs. Those who have not experienced a fine adjust fixture may not understand its value! There aren't enough good things to say about this arm!.
This is a much better alternative to the clamp on the spindle indicator holder that I've been using forever. You can use any machine that has an infeed The lock up is very adjustable and solid.
