The reason I decided to try this was that Anytime Tools has sold me other items with great results. It is half the price of the famous brand, but I doubt its build quality will differ much from that of the known brand. It is easily positioned, but should you ever lock it to the wheel, you could probably hang a hammer off of My dovetail betterest 0 has the dovetail, and I use that. A single issue has never been reported with the 10001 dial indicator. The dovetail is smooth, the finish is not rough, and the knob is easy to turn by hand. I'm glad I got it instead of my knock-off Indicol style that My only regret is that I didn't start doing this earlier!.
I liked it at first glance, but I thought the case was a bit cheap-looking It's a little small, but considering I didn't know it came with one it's pretty nice! It has a spot to hold the I like the indicator holder, it is well made, it locks firmly in place and the anodizing looks good. My only reservation is the knobs, they feel very light weight and weak, but I don't think that they will cause any.
What it does is what it should do. My indicators are held securely in place by this product. This holder would be appreciated by any decent machinist.
This indicator holder has a very nice design. Because I am new to the world of machining and cannot do it properly myself, I struggled to find magnetic indicator holders that worked for me. This one did. It has made my life so much easier and I really like it.
This indicator holder is excellent. The holder that I use when indicating parts or vises in a mill has become my favorite. I can securely mount all of my indicators in the dovetail. My drop indicators are tightened completely at the hole. An articulating arm can be tightened up completely and maintain its position for as long as needed.
The tool is versatile. Several grey beard machinists were impressed with it. The cost of an Indicol and again is significantly less. You can do more with it.
Any bar like this is not totally rigid, but with slow and gentle use I was able to tram my head to a great extent.
The product works fine but I wish I'd purchased one with the fine adjustment at the end. It would have been more than worth the extra cost.
