The AGPtek 3 doesn't stay upright. In the case of the Joint Red Adjustable Magnetic Base Holder I received, there was not enough magnetism to hold up a 2" dial indicator. A holder holding the dial indicator kept tipping over when attached to the cast iron head stock of a lathe. I have been doing this for decades With a 7" post rod, a 7" extension rod and indicator on the end of the extension rod, the Mighty Mag holder does not suffer from this problem. Upon getting this into the shop and trying to lock it into place and placing the dial indicator-which also won't fit-I make a mistake.
