The jaws have a rough finish. The mounting slot has been cut unevenly. The jaws have at least two different lengths of set screws. Having said that, for the price, these are still a good deal; just make sure you drill two holes at the same distance, then mount and use the center line gage set to make sure it reads the same. The jaws may not mount parallel to one another the first time, which is another reason to mount to a dedicated set of calipers and then leave alone.
Surprisingly, one of the center gages makes use of. My set's measurement is about a tenth off. There are a total of 003 in total. Both have an OD of nine. 50mm. The OD-groove offset is four. One is 70mm wide, while the other is 4 inches wide. The total length is 72mm, which equals 0. Runout of 8mm = 3 thou. It's not bad at all. Surprisingly, one of the center gages employs a 1. The other uses a 1/16in set screw instead of a 5mm one. It came with a 1/16in Allen wrench that didn't fit in the 1. Set screw is 5mm long.
It's a pain to put on, you'll need to dedicate yourself to a caliper (no quick change), and you'll need to use a caliper that says "ABSOLUTE ORIGIN" like the one from the caliper manufacturer.
The bolts for tightening were stripped almost instantly. Unfortunately, there do not appear to be any good cost alternatives between this set (which is far too cheap) and a very expensive precision set.
Because there are two sets of setscrews, installation is difficult and prone to errors. This is most likely an attempt to get them to adjust to various sizes and manufacturers. This tool is largely self-contained due to its precision purpose. a setback.
The machining is a little off, so it's only good for guesswork. flat surface that is not parallel to the cylinder.
It appears to be compatible with the majority of calipers.
You'll probably want to set aside a pair of calipers for these, as they do take some time to attach and mount properly.
