Yes, the arms of this caliper are pushed open by a powerful spring. br>I gave this tool a three-star rating in my previous review. Despite my disappointment with the tool, it is still a useful tool. I was simply expressing my dissatisfaction with it because it fell short of my expectations. Your expectations may differ from mine.br>Do I regret purchasing the tool? NO. Since my review, I've used it a few times and have learned a lot more about it. br>So, if you're looking for a tool like this, this one will suffice.

There is no case included.

I even attempted to return it, but neither Amazon nor the seller provided return instructions. I still have it in its original packaging and am able to use it.

THIS TOOL DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE AS STRONG AS IT SEEMS

This Internal Electronic Caliper Gage was purchased on Amazon. It appears to be more powerful than it is on the com website. I was disappointed when I received it and tried it out because it proved to be too flimsy for me. br>I kept it, and I still use it now and then because of the electronic readout. But it's so delicate that I simply put it back on the shelf and reach for my old faithful manual gauge.

Fowler 54: A Review 554- Internal caliper gage with a resolution of 730

The gage was delivered to me. I tried to adjust it, but it was out of whack. It was impossible for me to complete the task. I dialed the number for the company's technical support, and He sat down with me and talked about it. stated that it appeared to be ineffective, to have it calibrated by them. It was still not working properly when I got it back after two weeks. I made contact with the firm. It was discussed with me by a representative. It was determined to be defective, and I was told to return it for a replacement. I emailed it to them, and they acknowledged receipt. After 6 days, I had to call them to find out that he hadn't even looked at it! I explained to him that I needed it for work, and he agreed. Please hurry it up, but they seemed to be oblivious to my request.
