My Robalo R222 is equipped with these sacrificial anodes attached to the trim tabs. They are of the highest quality. They have been used before and I plan to continue to use them in the future since they need to be It is better to buy them locally than to shop online for the best quality. Any need you may have can be satisfied by Amazon. They are items that I would buy.
Anodes like these last more than twice as long as my other ones, but they are round with a hole in the middle, making them more suitable for my application. In case I am unable to find something better, I will have to buy it again.
As the antenna comes in two halves, I have two anodes for my application. Small outboard motors are fitted with this part.
Using this as a sacrificial anode in a salt water pool is ideal. I am still using it after several months, and it's working great. Although it has corrosion, none of the pool hardware shows any signs of it.
This is exactly what I wanted.
I was looking for something just like this.
The zinc domes are made of flattened zinc plates with a stainless steel bolt threaded through the center of one to thread into a captive stainless nut on the other. They are excellent products. They are usually used to protect keels on boats from corrosion by sandwiching around the item to be protected. During the life of the zinc, it corrodes away as a sacrificial anode, protecting other metals. The corrosion protection isn't for use on a boat, but for protection against corrosion. The latest set of replacement burners on the grill were fast corroding away, so I installed them on the grill to see if they would help keep them from corroding so fast.
The item arrived in good condition and was shipped fast.
