My understanding is that they lay the copper wire into the mold the long way and pour the zinc into it. As such, the wire goes inside the zinc bar on both sides for about four inches There appears to be an inset of about 1/4 inch or so on the bar of 5 inches. have yet to put it to work, so I cannot say whether the wire is good enough until the anode is used up. As a way to reduce corrosion, I mounted mine on my pool heater ground and buried it in the ground. Connect it to any point of the pool that is possible to connect to a grounding point.

Has been designed to do what they were intended Would have been nice if we knew to use them before our problems with underwater rust began.
Other sellers used deceptive wording as well as enhanced photos. Compared to the many other zinc supplements I have tried, the zinc was exactly what I was looking for. Also, the price was cheaper as well as the quality of the product was better. Would not hesitate to buy again.
