I suppose it would depend on how the engraving is done. I've previously engraved brass with a Hermes setup, and this material should be suitable.

This isn't brass at all! After cutting the bar in half, the middle is silver. Bar, like mild steel, is extremely difficult to cut. It has magnetic properties as well. As seen in the illustration.
125". This is what I got. The thickness is 107". More than 2010% undersize. I can make do with it but it just seems to me that their quality could have been a lot better.
The wings and tail of the plane were formed from this. Brass stock is in good condition.
It's not two inches wide or an eighth of an inch thick. It has a measurement of. It is 117" thick and 1 15/16" wide, with a cupped length that prevents it from lying flat. With small scratches and nicks along the edge, the finish is typical of a mill finish.
This isn't the type of brass that can be forged. When I tried to turn it into the brass parts I needed, it just chipped and broke.
I'm a beginner knife maker, and this brass met all of my requirements. I'm not sure about the metallurgical quality, but it worked for me. Shipping was quick and the package was well-protected. I would buy from this seller again.
You are going to require. It's a little rough in texture. To achieve a smooth surface, you'll need to sand extensively.
Pocket door guides are made with this material. It's thick enough to hold up to a lot of weight. Dimensions are extremely precise.
