These bars are shipped with little protection and minimal finishing, as the seller and my photos suggest, but they clean up easily with a little buffing. In my bar, there were a couple of deep scratches that might be bothersome to some people. br>Because I didn't require much, this met my requirements.
It arrived flat and clean, which was exactly what I needed for a crank shaft alignment on a scale model steam engine.
It's a lot slimmer than it appears! This is not the same as a true 1/8" or. The thickness is 125. My calipers have a measurement of 116 If you need a precise thickness for decorative splines on a humidor, don't buy it. It'll be too thin for an 1/8" kerf blade, resulting in large gaps!.
It isn't 1/8; it records at a lower rate. 117 millimeters are less than three millimeters. A 14 inch bow runs across the 2 inch dimension. By any stretch of the imagination, the finish is bumpy rather than smooth. This is a poor substitute for the advertised service.
I like the pieces because they aren't scratched like some of the others I've purchased.
It did a great job for what I needed it to do.
These were purchased with the intention of making bolsters out of them. is going to be fantastic.
