When it comes to the inside diameter, what is it?

Three inches is the diameter of the inside 3/8" in diameter.

The maximum diameter of the post or pole that it can be utilized on is what?

There's probably 3/4" of a hole in it. We haven't tried it yet, but it could possibly be more. In my case, it is 5/8" steel

There are two shiny things and one dull thing

Keep in mind that the finish varies from one to another if you need more than one. The one that had a very smooth and shiny finish was the better one. The other one wasn't that smooth. My piece felt more like a plumbing pipe. I painted it, and now it is hard to tell the difference, but if you prefer natural silver, be aware that each is different in finish.

The quality is excellent! With very expensive glassware in it, it gives you a sense of safety. On a rod, it has excellent stability due to its heavy and thick nature. The quality of this product will not let you down.
