It's perfect for controlling the flow out of the canister filter in my 10 gallon aquarium. My shrimp are now content with their situation.
The tightening mechanism is too small to be easily tightened by hand; larger heads or wing nuts would be preferable so that they could be properly torqued by hand.
For the intended purpose, it works well.
It's what I use to clamp off tubing on the pressure washer and the gas line on the tractor when changing the filter.
It was necessary to limit the amount of water used by the swamp cooler, and it worked perfectly.
