What do you expect this to look like, how does it feel, and what does it sound like? As soon as- How does metal feel on the skin? Apparently you sent me a metal rod in place of the rod I requested. ?

There might be a clacking sound when tapped on, but there shouldn't be. It shouldn't be metallic looking and should definitely not sound This one should look like the one shown.

Could you please tell me if you carry larger diameter solid rods? How big is 1 to 1 1/2 inches?

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, fiberglass rods come only in 1/2" diameter.

The rods appear to be stiff, but how stiff are they? Is it possible for them to resist flexing?

I really like how sturdy it is, it doesn't flex a lot.

This fiberglass rod comes in black, are you familiar with it? Can you please send either a 1/4" x 84" or a 1/2" x 84" fiberglass or aluminum rod, ?

As well as fiberglass rods, we also carry aluminum rods that are 1/2" X 84" in their natural form. Could spray paint be used to make the items depending on their end use?

If I could give five stars it would, but I do have reservations about the price. I bought it because I had no alternative and couldn't find it anywhere else, so maybe customer necessity drives the price up. It's straightforward, cuts neatly, and leaves no fiber fray at all.
