Swann-Morton #14 Sterile Surgical Blades, Carbon Steel [individually packed, box of 100]

Other reviews have mentioned that it irritates the skin, and I can understand why. Because it's not coated with solution like higher end blades like SouthMedic 10R butter blades, which make for a smoother glide, I don't have much of an issue with that. I had very low expectations for these blades because they were so cheap, but I was overpaying for the top of the line blades so I figured I'd try these. Hold the skin taut and apply light pressure; this should get the job done quickly and effectively. For each service, I use one blade, which becomes dull after a while. It's a lot of fun to watch the dead skin cells fall off. I gave this a four-star rating because the Swann- The SouthMedic Blades fit better with the Morton metal handle, but these blades fit as well as the SouthMedic Blades, as you can see in the photo, but it's a very tight fit. That's reassuring, because it won't fall off in the middle of a service!.

This blade has an excessively long length. When I tried it on, it scratched every single one of my clients' faces. I've been dermaplaning for over 20 years, so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to blades. The blade is too long, and where it's cut on the bottom, it leaves scratches all over the place where you're dragging it. I had high hopes for these, but they are simply poorly constructed.

I was taken aback by the poor quality. The tips are incredibly irritated. The blade isn't perfectly smooth. I've tried about 20 of the 20 that came in the box, and they're all terrible. Do not purchase these if you intend to use them for dermaplaning.

I'm an Esthetician, and I use these Swann Morton 14 blades to remove unwanted hair from my clients' sides of face and jawline (Dermaplane), as well as peach fuzz. They have a nice smoothness to them and glide smoothly. Thank you for your efforts; the end result is as smooth as glass!.

I have two boxes and am currently working on the first. At least half of the blades can't be used. In the future, we will seek out a different source.

Very sharp blades; make sure to file the tip down before using, but I love the results I get from my monthly face dermaplane with these. Removes dead skin, dirt, and peach fuzz, among other things.

This is the product I use for dermaplaning. These blades are incredibly strong and precise. I would strongly suggest it.

When dermaplaning, this causes scratches on the face. On a curved surface, this is extremely difficult to work with.
