As someone who performs professional Dermaplaning, I thought these would be worth a try at home and purchased them. Unfortunately, the blade was so dull that it didn't remove any hair, so I had to go over areas again and again to remove hair. They're so much better than the ones I use at work. I don't write reviews very often, but if you're a professional, stick with what you're used to.
As someone who is completely untrained in the field of dermaplanning, I'd like to share my experience. I tried these because I thought they might be a good upgrade from the Twinkle brand, and I'm glad I did. I can't afford dermaplanning every two weeks on my teacher's salary. I'm not required to do so any longer- My skin looks as if it's been professionally dermaplaned. I'm sure I'll continue to buy them. Love it.
I've been using tinkle blades for at-home facial hair and dead skin removal for a long time, and while they work, they occasionally cut me and don't always remove all of the dead skin patches completely. These Swan Morton 14 blades will undoubtedly become my new facial blades of choice. I needed a blade that was sharp, had a thinner edge than the tinkle blades, and was level across the board. You've found them! My dead skin patches were quickly removed, with no scratches or patchy dry flakes left behind.
For dermaplaning, I absolutely adore these. I like how the whole thing is thrown away, and the curved end is particularly appealing. This allows you to maneuver around the client's facial features without having to be concerned about poking them with a sharp point.
They perform the dermaplaning service that I requested. I've been practicing and have only used these so far, so I can't compare them to anything else. Having said that, I've never had a problem with them.
These are a step up from the small blades sold in the beauty section of your local store. To be honest, calling these a scalpel is a stretch. Make no mistake about it: They have the ability to cut you, and I have slipped and gotten a knick. However, the blades are very dull and of poor quality, and they irritate my skin a lot.
This product has helped me with dermatitis at home. in between business meetings So far, I've been satisfied with the sharpness of all the blades. I don't want to come across as a bully in front of my peers. Although the price is a little high for the volume, it is still less expensive than a professional appointment.
I wish I had tried them right away after receiving them; otherwise, I would have returned them. I had to use four blades for a light dermaplaning because the blades were dull. I've never used a blade so bad. Marshalls' low-cost blades are more effective.
