I'd give it a 0 out of 5 star rating if I could. The dermaplaning blade would not even slid into the grooves. To get it in, I literally had to use pliers. I was using a 10R blade, which is exactly what this product is made for! This is a terrible product.
It took me a long time to get my scalpel blade loaded into this handle. It appeared that something was preventing it from sliding in, but another surgeon and I couldn't figure out what was causing it to be so difficult. If I could just load the blade, it would probably be a good handle.
Everything is in order.
Overall, I believe it was a good value for the money. However, I have 14 scalpels, and the first one was the most difficult to put on and slide into the handle groves! I'm hoping that after a few uses, putting the new blades on and off will be easier. To avoid cutting yourself, I recommend getting a pair of forceps to take the blades on and off with.
It's a great product that's simple to clean and replace blades on. I would strongly suggest it.
For the money, this is a decent scalpel. I've only used 12 blades with it so far, but they lock in place tightly and do not move. I use blades that I purchased on Amazon.
For the money, it's a good tool that does what it's supposed to do.
Over the years, I've purchased a number of different blade holders, and this one is by far the best.
