Questions & Answers

Is there a way to open this container that anyone knows about?

It functions as a sharps container and cannot be opened, as far as I'm aware.

Is this also useful for securing the blade to the handle?

No, it's just to get it out of the way. To get the blade to stick on the handle, leave it partially wrapped. As long as it's lined up correctly, it should snap on without much help.

I have Bard Parker 5 and 6 handles and am curious if this will work with them. ?

Yes, it certainly will.

Is it compatible with Havalon blades?

I seriously doubt it, despite the shape of the mounting hole, because Havalon blades are much larger than a typical surgical scalpel blade. I'd contact Havalon and inquire.

The blade broke and cut me, and the seller has yet to respond
3/5

My second use of this product resulted in the frame snapping while using it as directed. A scalpel blade I had used to cut agar that I didn't want in my cut resulted in a deep cut. I sent a message to the seller four days ago and have yet to receive a response, indicating that not only are they selling faulty equipment (QA YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE SHIPPING), but they also refuse to accept responsibility for the incident. We have no power unless we use it.

Old blades are safely removed and stored
4/5

The purpose of this product, despite the lack of clarity in the product description, is to safely remove old blades from the handle and store the removed blades. When the assembly is full, it is discarded and replaced with a new one.

There will be no more trips to the emergency room! For my art, which entails intricate paper cutting, I use surgical blades
5/5

The blades could be removed with pliers or other tools, but it was risky. This blade remover takes some getting used to, but I haven't needed to go to the ER for stitches since I started using it! It's what I use to remove the 10a and 11 blades from my blades.

It does exactly what it says on the tin
5/5

My son skins animals with a scalpel, and his hands are always greasy and slippery when it's time to change the blades. I purchased this item in the hopes of making it easier and safer for him to remove the old blades without risking injury. I wasn't sure if it would work, but I decided to try it anyway. I'm happy to report that after dozens of uses, it continues to do exactly what it's supposed to do, and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is an excellent container
4/5

It's simple to use this product. The only reason I didn't give this product a 5-star rating is because I didn't think it was good enough. When I went to get the container out of my bag, all of the blades had fallen into the ziplock bag where I had the container stored, so I gave it a one-star rating. So, if you don't travel with it, it's great.

Simple to understand This is a cinch to work with! It's also much smaller than a standard sharps container, which means it kills two birds with one stone
5/5

It is not only secure, but it is also cost-effective. It is simple to use and convenient. It'll hold a lot of blades, but I won't hesitate to order a replacement when the time comes.

It works even better than that! When I first attempted this, I struggled because I had no idea what I was doing
5/5

I was overthinking things. It was quick and easy once I figured it out, and the fact that you don't have to touch the blades at all makes it even better. Simply insert the blade into the opening and then press down on the top tab to keep the tab in place while pulling the blade handle out. The blade is dropped into the container when it is no longer in use. EASY!.

The blade box is very useful
4/5

A good box to keep all of the used blades safe, but the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because a blade or two has fallen out a couple of times. Not good!.
