I just wanted to let you know that I bought three of these poles, and they keep falling off when you hang an IV bag on them. It fell in one case and yanked the IV out of the patient's arm, spilling blood all over the place. Totally unreliable and ineffective. I attempted to return them to Devine Medical, but they refused, claiming that the 30-day return period had passed. Please stay away from this company because their product is terrible and their customer service is terrible. The unit has a capacity of several pounds, which we used to store a medical fluid pump and fluid. but. It will topple over if the poles are extended to their maximum length. If the pole is lowered, I can get about 1200 cc's out of it. It's not a weight issue; it's a balance issue.
Check to see if everything is secure. When the tripod is opened, check that the bottom clamp is tight and that the top pole is turned tight. Stabilize the material by hanging it on the hook. Using the velcro strap, keep any tubing close to the pole.
I don't have it anymore to try it, but I don't see why this wouldn't work.

This IV pole is very light and collapsible, which is exactly what we needed for our road trip. It is simple to set up and take down. The height can be adjusted. It's stable enough to use, though I have to be cautious when hanging the bag because the base isn't weighted or heavy like a standard IV pole's. If this is an issue for you, keep in mind that it does not roll around. It arrived on time, in good condition, and was exactly what I expected. I'd buy it again, and I'd tell a friend about it.
It is small enough to fit in a suitcase and is extremely light. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: According to the manufacturer's instructions, it should not be used with an infusion pump and should only be used for gravity feed. However, I had no issues using it with a gravity feed pump. br>I believe the problem is overturning as a result of the pump's additional weight. We had no problems as long as the pole was balanced and the IV tubing did not pull on it. We just returned from a 10-day vacation and were able to use it every night without issue.
For my cat, I've had to start fluid treatment. It's simple to set up and take down this IV pole. The best part is that it is extremely sturdy, so it will not wobble or shift during fluid therapy, which could result in a fluid level misreading on lower-quality models.
This pole is extremely light. It can be used with a 1000 ml IV bag, but the telescoping parts of the pole don't stay together well and tend to fall apart. To avoid skipping, it must be taped. That is a very low cost.
This is a fantastic portable IV pole that makes traveling much more convenient. Although it stated that it should not be used with an IV pump, I found that it worked perfectly with one. When it's all folded up, I really like how compact it is.
My items kept sliding down because I wasn't strong enough to hold them. I should have sent it back sooner, but I waited too long.
This was purchased to hold the IV bag in place while my cat was receiving fluid treatment. It easily supports the IV bag and is the ideal height for a tabletop or kitchen counter.
