Due to the fact that 3000ml is only 6. This unit should be able to handle the weight of 6 pounds, but you should anchor it to the wall with molly bolts. We have six of these units and have been using them for the past five years. We're pleased with their performance, but we can't say we've lifted the 6 pound weight restriction.

The pole should be discarded. My wife is on peritoneal dialysis and requires a manual exchange every now and then. This would necessitate the use of an IV pole, which we must keep on hand "in case. " " So I made a dialysis hutch out of an old TV hutch that was used for older tube TVs. I'm changing my mind. In the event that a manual exchange was required, the hook was exactly what was required. This hook is perfect for securing an IV in place.
A drill, drill bit, and phillips screwdriver are all you'll need to install the hook. br>br>Once mounted, the hook is very strong, but because it pivots so easily, it can be difficult to hang IV bags on it.
