Initially, I thought this tubing was awesome (and it still may be), but after reviewing it, I noticed that one side of the earpiece felt floppy to me, whereas the other side seemed firm. A pleasant surprise was that the sound quality matched the original pretty well. After a year of use, the oils from my skin hardened the tubing (much sooner than the original tubing) causing it to lose its black finish. I reduced one star because the black finish started to rub off fairly quickly. After using this for two years, there are no cracks, so this works as it should. A few months after the tubing was replaced, it was cracked and snapped We have been using the same computer for 9 years. I would be surprised if I get four inches out of this tubing considering how quickly it has hardened With this replacement tubing, you will have 5 years of service. Although your tubing will have a shorter lifespan if you cover it or do not wear it around your neck, you are still likely to get much more life from it.
