Questions & Answers

What is the best way to use it?

The step-by-step process I followed to do a 2-inch How to read blood pressure correctly in nursing school (suggested method for getting an accurate blood pressure measurement) The following is a list of tasks to be completed. 3. Ask the patient to keep his/her arms at heart level and to keep his/her legs straight2. Aim an arrow on the bladder to point to the brachial artery and place the cuff on the arm about 1 inch above the elbow crease. 1. *br> 2. *br> 3. Please make sure you have the dial turned all the way right (right tight). The fourth point is . You can estimate systolic pressure by putting your finger on the radial pulse of the arm you are measuring, pumping until it stops, and then releasing. Take note of the number on the monitor and release the pressure by moving the dial to the left (lefty loosey). I'll add my own in *br> with After completing the first step, wait 30 seconds before moving on to the second step to allow for potential auscultatory gaps. The following six points apply. Put the stethoscope with either side of the stethoscope on the brachial artery, then add 30 to the estimated systolic pressure (quickly obtained from step 4). You should pump till your calculated number is reached, then slowly release pressure for about 2 millimeters per second in order to catch the very first (systolic) and very last (diastolic) korotkoff sounds. Describe the patient's blood pressure in terms of systolic and diastolic values, while stress levels are greater. If you can, you should explain what normal blood pressure and stress levels are. It is my hope that this master this.

Can the BP cuff be used by a nurse student just starting out?

I recommend it for you to practice with, especially since you get such a great return on investment. You should know, however, that I broke my dial after 3 weeks of daily use, so nobody else should count on using it much longer than I did.

Are you sure that this product is not made with latex?

I have just asked one of my friends who is an RN whether there is latex in this bag. She says no. In addition, she mentioned that it fell apart after a short period of time

The interface is easy to learn for a layman, right? It is often inaccurate when I use my digital ones. ?

Use of this app is very simple. This is what I use

Customer service is outstanding and the product is great! Despite I having ordered a new item, I received a refurbished item that worked but was less than new
5/5

In this case, it appeared that the boxes held the items had already been opened, and that the bags had already been opened, so this unit had probably been used and It is believed that the rubber tubing near the gauge connection was crimped in the box and that this has left an indentation which has weakened the outside of the rubber tubing making it vulnerable to breakage / leakage. A small imperfection like this can be easily fixed by simply snipping it off, but a new unit cannot have this issue. The company quickly sent another unit that was received and was in perfect working order after I let them know about the above deficiencies. In addition to notifying them of the problem just as a note for quality control, I advised them a replacement was not needed for such a minor defect, but they went ahead and I could not ask for better customer service. Thank-you Your dedication to this project is greatly appreciated!.

Previously, I worked as an EMT Cuff with excellent quality The user may even use it for themselves
5/5

Like others have mentioned, I had some concerns about accuracy, so I decided to calibrate the gauge to evaluate its accuracy. I built a simple calibration stand to measure the pressure applied to the cuff in inches of water and compared it with what the supplied gauge was telling me. Attached is the data and you can see that it has an accuracy of about 1% which is exceptional and should put any concerns about accuracy to rest. A great buy for any purpose, including EMT use, this solidifies itself as a good buy. In my opinion

- The original text can be found here In my years as an EMT, I have seen many different cuffs in the field, which is why I have no doubt this is the best. It will take time to see if the stitching will hold, but for personal use I doubt there will be anything to worry about. Even I can take my own blood pressure (and I have long arms, which is the case with me) with the twin tube design. Basically, I don't know what some of the other reviewers are talking about when they say the cuff gets pumped up. For the needle to move, a few pumps are expected to be necessary. For these types of cuffs, the thumb bleed screw is typical and easy to use. In addition, it provides excellent pressure relief control. I have compared it to my Omron automatic unit as far as accuracy goes and it appears to be very accurate. The size of the garment is perfect for my arms featuring a circumference of 15" (38cm), and my wife's with a diameter of 10" (25cm), leaving me with space to spare on either side. Overall, I would highly recommend this cuff for either use in the home or as a primary or backup cuff in an EMT situation.

Can you tell me what this is? In a quick Google search you can find this "Amazon Choice" manual blood pressure cuff for approximately $30 if you search for "Manual blood pressure cuff"
3/5

In doing a search on Paramed, you'll find the same cuff in blue instead of black for approximately $26 dollars or with a cheap stethoscope thrown in for $27, according to this report. The money isn't the issue. There's just something tacky about it. A health care professional who has been in the field for over 25 years says that she has never seen a cuff without a place to attach the gauge. As with this gauge, all of them have the same clip on the back. There is no place for attachment on this cuff. It simply tells me to clip it on like it's some sort of "special" device. I think I can't use this for my health, although it may be fine. I am looking for an alternative tool.

The purchase of a stethoscope is additionally required
3/5

You will still need to purchase a stethoscope in addition to this item. The seller does say they will give it to you free of charge as long as you offer Is it possible to write a survey if you haven't actually tried the device out? A stethoscope is required to test it, and I do not think it can be done without one. As you can see, I reviewed the item and found the hand pump rubber to be thin and fragile. This prompted me to return the item, despite having to pay $7. There is a shipping charge of $4 for returns. No way would I recommend anyone to buy this item.

Perhaps it is OK for practicing blood pressure and hearing the reading but not for real life use
3/5

It was purchased so I would be able to practice manual readings before I went into First of all, there was no convenient place to clip the gauge. My intuition told me that there was a loop inside the cuff, but that didn't make any sense. When I tried to use it on my family members to test it out, it proved to be totally In the beginning, it took lots of pumps for it to get started, and the results were higher than they should have been. This was my first time having my blood pressure taken electronically. It was within normal limits. this for a while, I discovered that I have high blood pressure. As a result of faulty readings from its use in the medical setting, this product also poses a major danger to people. That would be fine if you just want to practice and hear how your blood pressure is, but not for actual data.

Not at all
3/5

The one you're looking at should not be purchased. The company does not support their products. I purchased this blood pressure cuff in July 2018, and it is now December 2018, and they do not offer any help. My work in home health care only requires me to use these with pts who have afib or other irregular conditions that cause my automatic blood pressure sleeve to malfunction. These are used maybe twice a month for patients with these conditions. Although the reviews were good, the cuff arrived in a state of failure Inside my big bag, it was kept in a zip up bag so it would be protected and well treated. While the build quality appears fine, the real measure of the product is its performance, which was beyond reproach. It's a scam! I recommend not buying My message to the company on Amazon has not been answered yet, and I asked that a replacement diaphragm be sent for the cuff.

This seems to be a well-made product that is easy to use
4/5

The aneroid sphygmomanometer I just bought is the best thing ever. Due to my position as a retired cardiologist, I am familiar with high blood pressure
I feel secure wearing this one, as it is well made and feels well integrated. There is no need to adjust the valve because the gauge is easy to read and
Our only suggestion is to take into account individuals who are taking their own blood pressure on a daily basis and figure out a way to sit the gauge on a table so it would be easy to I purchased this product through Amazon. Otherwise, this is a nice product at a great price.
