According to my experience, no. As the pressure is inflated, the valve should be turned off to prevent any air loss while the pumping action is repeated until slowly opening the valve allows the cuff to decompress and reading blood pressure can be attained.

Can you tell me the circumference of the cuff?

There is a measurement of 33 to 47 cm on the cuff.

The cuff fulfills its purpose for a little while

This type of manometer is not too rugged but doesn't hold up to a lot of use. In my job as a doctor for sporting events, I need to take a lot of blood pressures. The wrist automatic cuffs are short lived but more accurate than these devices. Aside from that, those wrist cuffs consume tons of batteries. The cuff fits almost any athlete, so I bought the large size.

Without your help, it cannot hold air

I like what I see on first glance This is nice. I'll come back to this Even with the valve closed, I noticed that the pressure continued to drop. Then I doubled-checked it The triple-threat To ensure that nothing was leaking around the hoses, I checked them to make sure everything was in place. Once I realized it was coming from the top of the bulb, I realized it was coming from the lid. A fingertip is required to block the hole so that you don't let the air escape -- Having one of these makes it much harder to use You should use your hands if you plan to check your own blood pressure and need to hold the device to see it clearly. The situation doesn't seem right to me.

Bulb changes are not a common procedure, and there are spelling errors on the box and in the manual

Bariatric physical therapists should use this. There were many spelling errors in the owners manual. On the BP cuff, as well as on the thigh, it was the same size as on ordinary thighs. It was hard to hold the bulb because it was so tiny. As each compression is made, air is expelled. This machine is not calibrated well. Even a student enrolled in a ROP course would not use this.

I have never seen a cuff as large as this one. This is not an adult standard, but it does the trick just fine. This label is easy to read, is accurate, and Velcros nicely. The stethoscope that came with it I did not use since I already had one. Therefore, I cannot comment on the quality of the stethoscope.

As compared to the listing, it does not have a D ring for one handed application

This was a personal order for me It needs to have a D ring for one-handed application, so that's why I was looking for one with a D ring. There is a reference to a D ring in two places around the listing. The package arrived today without a D ring. I am returning it.

No stethoscope included

I am an RN, so it's the same as what we use in the office. We use the same type in our office. Very durable. In order to use this stethoscope, you will need your own, which is great when you are working on other people's ears.
