I've been practicing it for my externship as a paramedic student, and it really works. The longest I plan to keep it is until I'm working, but once I start working, I'll throw it into my personal go bag for my car. Even after my training is over, it will still be good enough for me to hold onto. There is no sign of fraying in the stitching. There is no problem with the pump and dial, and they are If anything changes I'll update this post, but so far it seems to be a good purchase! That's the case. I haven't even had this skill for a month, but I have noticed that the accuracy has significantly dropped, so much that it's hindering my learning and development. The pressure doesn't maintain well enough which makes it difficult to hear, and the twist dial occasionally becomes stuck, which is not a good thing. My aim is to find something that can endure for a longer period of time.
However, the only thing I would change about it is where the number reader is placed or maybe how better to secure it to the wrist. As I take my father's blood pressure, the dial reader can fall off the cuff sometimes because he moves a lot. It was easy to do. I just laid it on the lap of the man and twisted It works well. I have been a CNA for sixteen years in a hospital setting, and this cuff feels soft, and you don't feel it pain when you have to pump up high for a higher blood pressure.
It is a little strange for me to not use the manual blood pressure cuff since I'm an old timer. Despite being small and compact, this unit is able to read someone who may need a larger cuff even though it does not have a length or girth setting. This is a unit I would recommend.
Upon arrival, it was in excellent condition and was easy to install. I believe this is.
