Buying this product is not a good idea. The day it arrived in the mail, I returned it to UPS. The pin & handle were the only things I disliked about this product. There are many cheap brushes on the market. In the end of the pin, there is no fine point, but it should have been sharp. If the point is dull, it is impossible to do neurological testing. No sense is made out of it. Compared to the brush, I thought the bristles looked like those on a tire brush. Despite their softness, they were quite hard! When I used the brush on my arm, it left the mark of a scratch. The world isn't going to end soon, so I wish I was exaggerating. It isn't often that I write a product review but if I have received a product like this, I consider it a necessity to write one in case someone else makes the same mistake I did.
I am a nurse practitioner in a program and needed a reflex hammer as soon as possible. I got the product on time, in exactly the condition as described, and it was just what I asked for. The cotton ball and paper clip are already there there is no need to acquire them.
The reflex hammer is a good buy and the extras like the needle and brush are a nice touch, but it is slightly smaller than I anticipated it to be.
There is no possibility of extending the length. It is a great little tool with two hidden attachments - the neuro pain attachment and the light touch attachment. This one, however, does not have a telescopic handle There is no extension to the size.
The scale is convenient when it comes to weight.
Everything is as it should be.
Reflexes are elicited more easily.
It does its job well for neurology assessments.
