It's most likely a professorial question. I'm not sure what they're looking for in terms of specifications. They should work fine because they're chemical splash goggles, but they're probably not as good as a hazmat suit or something.
I'm not sure what country these goggles came from, but the word Taiwan is clearly stamped on the bottom.

At some point, they must have had more than one product/model available on this same listing. or a faulty shipment These are clear, but if you don't get them, simply exchange them for something else. Replacement lenses in clear, smoke, amber, and a shade 5 welding are all available for a few dollars. It's simple to replace.

I use these goggles in my chemistry labs and they're great. In college, I had Chem I and Chem IV labs, which were fantastic. They don't fog up like other chemistry goggles, and they're less expensive than those sold in bookstores. They're also SUPER COMFORTABLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE It's so good that I've started wearing them instead of my sunglasses. However, DO NOT PURCHASE THESE GLASSES. These aren't anti-government statements. fogging. They fogged up badly, and I had to take them off and wipe them out several times during my chem lab. As a result, the lenses have become scratched. Taking them off during a lab experiment puts my eyes at risk of being burned by chemical fumes. I'm not sure who certified these garbage goggles as meeting any safety standards, but it's a false claim. These goggles are dangerous because they obstruct vision and expose you to chemicals. These are attractive, affordable, and reasonably comfortable, but they are ineffective. Other students in the lab don't seem to have any problems with their "bookstore" goggles fogging up. Don't be fooled into thinking that buying these will save you money; you'll have to spend more money on the good ones later. br>These were purchased for my college chemistry lab, and according to the product claims, they "passed" the requirements. I can't imagine using these in a professional setting or for day-to-day tasks. Take my advice and don't wear these goggles for anything other than a Halloween costume prop, especially if you're concerned about your safety. Since the anti-fogging and scratch resistance claims are both false, I'm not sure if any other claims of safety or performance can be trusted. br>Most of the time in the lab, these goggles are fogged up, and I have to wipe them clean on a regular basis. As a result, the lenses have been scratched. I can't read numbers or measurements, and I can't see clearly enough to tell where the liquids are filling up the cylinders. I slipped the goggles over my average-sized glasses frame after adjusting the band. The issue was that simply putting the goggles ON TOP of the goggles made it impossible to see. I discovered that putting your glasses INTO the goggles before wearing them allows you to press and adjust the glasses for a good fit. After that, place the device on your face. This could possibly work for you. br>br> I wear Aviator glasses that are oversized: They won't fit into the goggles properly. These goggles are very comfortable for me to wear in the chemistry lab. While I'm working, they don't steam up, and the elastic doesn't get too loose. The fit may result in a "goggle-like" appearance. After a few hours of wear, you'll notice a "mark" imprint on your face, but it's not as bad as other pairs I've tried.
