To the metal, I'm not sure. I'm thinking of stainless steel. They're effective, but I only use them on rare occasions; There are no signs of rust - After I've used them, I wash them and return them to their original container.

This is a review of the Dental Tarter Scraper Kit, also known as the "Dental Hygiene Kit. " With four instruments, it's a decent dental hygiene kit, but unless you have someone to help you, you'll probably only use a few of them. For instance, the mirror is unlikely to be useful on its own. The set is helpful for removing tartar between "real" dental cleanings, but be careful not to damage your gums or teeth. Don't overextend yourself because, let's face it, you're probably not a certified dental hygienist. However, if you only need to remove a small amount of tartar and don't have access to a dentist, this kit will suffice. Stainless steel is used to make them. Simply ensure that they are sterilized before and after use.
These are excellent choices. The mirror is easy to clean, which isn't a problem if you're using it alone. The probe has a pointy end. A good angle is provided by the excavator. The tweezers are exactly that: tweezers. I've seen better fit and finish for less money, but not at this price; the material is supposed to be stainless steel; So far, there have been no signs of rust. Overall, it's a good deal, but if you're in the business, you'll want something better.
I used these in between visits to the dentist and found them to be well-made and functional. I don't have much experience with these kinds of tools, but they worked well for me. Although the zippered case was inexpensive, it was nice to have one.
It's a handy little set to have, especially for cleaning and inspecting the back of your mouth. It is of good quality and does not appear to be low-cost. Also comes with a nice and practical carrying case.
This kit is of excellent quality and will meet my requirements perfectly.
