The mirror is just under 1" (15/16") in diameter, and the handle, including the mirror, is 6" long. It appears to be a common dental instrument.
It claims to be made of German stainless steel, but no instrument specifies the country of origin. I've been using these tools for a few months and find them to be of good quality for the price.

Although it was labeled as stainless steel, it was actually made of metal with a stainless finish. I was looking for Stainless Steel in its purest form.
I got this set primarily because one of my back teeth was extracted recently and has yet to heal properly. After breaking my tooth while biting into something, I had my first extraction about 8 years ago. That procedure took less than a week to heal, but this one has been bothering me for nearly two weeks now. I was tempted to call my dentist right away, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't infected first. This little kit comes with everything you'll need to not only clean your teeth (which I prefer to leave to the professionals), but also inspect them thoroughly. The kit was reasonably priced and is an excellent buy. All of the equipment is in good working order. A small zippered pouch was used to make and package the product. Overall, I'm pleased with this small kit, and while I don't expect to use it frequently, it will be useful when necessary.
I intended to clean and disinfect these tools before using them, but I was immediately put off by the dusty, water stained mirror and the lack of a plastic protective covering. Clearly, it has been utilized. I'm disappointed to say the least.
As for one of the reviews that claims and shows a photo of the pointed end of the pick not being polished, that is the finished product; anyone who works with metal knows that specific area could not be polished to a fine sheen. These are the tools that I would recommend.
For the purpose I'm using them, they're very affordable. I'm using them to weed HTV on my Cricut machine. They do a fantastic job. I'm not sure how they do what they're supposed to do.
Good solid tools, but keep an eye on the case; I've been poked a few times by the instruments poking through where the zipper fabric is, and they won't stay in the case no matter how they're positioned. I wish they had plastic caps or something to keep them from piercing everything in their path while zipped up in the case. These tools have a razor-sharp edge (as if I didn't say that already) and are made of stainless steel.
Except for the mirror, everything else is fine. It fogged up the moment you breathed on it. I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to put it to use.
These aren't made of hardened stainless steel and bend easily, but they do the job for basic cleaning.
