I couldn't find another replacement that was the same as this, so it was expensive, but it seemed like a good investment. According to the description, it appears to be made of plastic, but it is made of steel and has sealed bearings. This is what I used on a Troy-type machine I have mowed a few acres with a 48" deck (older model), and I have had.
