A pulley drive for the ball roller mill is simple to implement

Purchased to be used in the construction of a ball roller mill for the grinding of ceramic raw materials. Screws need to be tightened with a small Torx bit, but the rest of the installation is simple. For the belt, I used a 1/4-inch o-ring, which appears to be adequate.

These pulleys, which I'm using with Pololu 37D DC gearmotors to drive 5mm diameter round belts, are of excellent quality and come at a very reasonable price

It would be great if BQLZR offered different inside diameters for different motor types, such as 1/4" for common stepper motors.

Not suitable for large areas

The space is approximately 1000 square feet. That's all it'll be able to take care of. Door thresholds are a problem for this product. I have different floor coverings in different rooms, and the thresholds are about 3/16" above the floor. They need a nudge to get over the hump.

It gets the job done

I needed a 1/4" shaft diameter pulley. This is clearly too small, but enlarging the hole with a 1/4 drill bit took less than 5 seconds and worked perfectly.
