Questions & Answers

How does the shaft get locked in the bearing bore? Is it an eccentric or a set screw?

As you said, the bearing sticks out on one side, and there is a set screw to secure it

So that we are If the price of "each" indicates each pack of 2, would that mean I would get 4 packs when I purchase "quantity of 2"?

Each bearing comes in a pack of two. In total we have 4 items in the cart, 2 in cart, 2 out of cart. In addition to that, they work great. I used them on a variety of weightlifting

On a cart that has a 1" axle, I would like to use these. Is the weight something they can handle?

It will depend on how much weight is on the load. Pillow blocks can't hold up to much side thrust if the cart travels straight. If the cart travels straight with very little side thrust, they will hold up well.

Do you know if the unit is compatible with 1 inch pillow block bearings on evaporative coolers?

It is for that purpose that I used them. Exactly what I wanted. There was a mounting bracket at each end that I had to make.

It's amazing what an upgrade there is over stock
5/5

During the five months that we keep our auto repair shop open, three evaporative coolers are run continuously for 20 hours a day. The average number of bearings we wear out per year is three. Grease zerks replace the oils in these bearings. Other than that, they require minimal maintenance or overhaul. Compared to the first one, the new design looks more automotive and will last for many years to come instead of just Despite the lack of drag, the motor is able to spin faster with them. The bearings used in coolers should be of this style.

Bearing of excellent quality
5/5

You don't have to worry about it being crooked it is able to adjust a little bit which is really useful if the installation is less than perfect. The reviews say it is "crooked" which is silly since you can adjust it to fit and it stays in perfect alignment no matter what, this is what it is all about. I use mine on a garage door spring bar to prevent the ends from moving from side to side when the bar bends and flexes. Bearings like this one work well for this since they adjust, right like they should, to point in the correct direction and retain a constant up and down movement.

The stiffness is a bit overpowering
4/5

There are two pairs of cables I bought As the idea is to have a heavy roll suspended between two rods that can move freely with ball bearings, the heavy roll is attached to two rods. Everything seems to be going well so far. I like how easy it is to align them. They work well. They only have one negative aspect - they are hard to turn since they are so Those who want them to run smoothly do not have instructions on how to lubricate them. After using lubricant for bicycle chains, I was able to get the chain to turn a bit more easily Still, the rotation is not as free as it should be. A brief update The situation may change after I order the grease gun, so I will make the necessary adjustments.

The bearings I have are not pressed in properly, so I cannot use them. This is a complete mess. The two I returned are being returned for two more, so we'll see how they do. In the event that the next two products we receive are good, I will leave a five-star Replacement bearings arrived and they look just like the originals. I understand these are self-adjusting bearings but the first batch didn't sit right, even after adjusting the bearings in the casting housing the bearings just weren't in place. It looks like the new batch will hold up well, but we shall see how far they go.

Bearings that are in good condition
3/5

It is a good value to buy these bearings. A perfect fit can be found in them. I am having an issue with the bases not surviving impact. The castings are brittle and weak. Even though I suspected this would be the case, I was willing to try them anyway. By the time the target began spinning again in the morning, I had fired four rifle shots.

Neither of them were pressed in straight
3/5

Reviews should have been read before making a decision. It is possible that the bearings were not pressed correctly into their cast housings. I’ve submitted a refund request, and as per my request form, I will have to wait at least two weeks to receive it.

You've got a nice design there
4/5

A good bearing appears to be in place. This is a solid and well-constructed building. It fits hardware with a 1/2 inch diameter. Erk fittings are metric and have a 6x1 tapped hole. The mm mark points to the right. Although it fits my grease gun, it is a bit too big for my grease nozzle. You can build a 1/2 ton lawn roller by using two pairs of wheels. When the update is completed, durability will be updated.

My bearings had to be tapped with a hammer to make them straight, but otherwise they work fine.
