I work as a professional diesel technician, so I'm familiar with snap-on sockets. These are for when I come across a 12 fastener on the job. I didn't want to spend $400 on a pair of sockets that I would only use once every six months. Instead, I paid $145 for four sets (these, as well as the shallow standard and metric). The initial impression is positive. They have a good fit and finish, don't feel cheap, and are substantial without being bulky. They come with twist lock rails that perfectly hold the sockets and do not flex excessively due to weight. The trays are also convenient because the rails secure them. I would buy these again in a heartbeat based on my initial impressions. I'll try to remember to update this review once I've had a chance to try out these sockets.
This is fantastic! The sheer number of sizes available is incredible. For years, I've needed to purchase a set of 12 points as a mechanic. I didn't get around to doing it until I started working on my new LS7. All ARP hardware is used, which is all 12 point. These were excellent choices.
On quality, I only use chrome ratchets and extensions, and I have inpack sockets for my air guns, which I believe will last a lifetime if properly used!.
The plastic holder makes it simple to keep everything organized, and I'm glad to have a complete set that goes up to 24mm. I used a few on my car for bolts that were tightened up to 140 pounds and they worked flawlessly.
I've been searching for a set like this for a long time. This set has worked flawlessly on my Harley Davison's brake calipers; it's better to buy a complete set like this rather than individual sockets.
The sockets appear to be of very high quality. They come in a holder that isn't suitable for storing them. When you remove a socket, it no longer holds them in place.
Great sockets for the price, and I like the twist lock trays that come with them. All of my other sticker holders are the same way, so I didn't have to buy new rails. And it's one of the few 3/8 sets that can go above 19mm without slipping.
