It should be noted that the arms are threaded rods connected to a nut at the bottom of the rubber base.
As far as you are concerned, we do not offer a clip. While the clamps mount to the ends, they are a standard 8-inch The number 32 is a If more than four arms are required, an additional metal bracket could be easily fabricated to hold a larger object. If more than four arms are needed, an additional magnetic base can be attached to the QuadHands base for additional arms.

Over the years, I have worked with microelectronics and 'micro-electronics' In many of my soldering jobs, I worked with microelectronics. With three different 'holding jigs' that I purchased, I paid almost as much as I did for this "QuadHands" device, and I must admit that in each of those purchases, I was hopeful that it would be better than what I already owned. Please enter the QuadHands Helping Hands third-hand holding jig in the following way That's so cool! I turned the three other jigs I owned into fishing weights almost immediately. As soon as I see the ad, I immediately think It's true, there are plastic-based products Species of goose segmented by size You can use the neck trick to make yourself look smaller. All of the tension strings break, causing everything to fall to the ground. This is NOT what I meant! As a result of more than a dozen consistently good reviews of this simple looking contraption (as one reviewer put it), I ultimately decided to buy In brief, here is our "Quick List of Highlights" Various high quality materials and solid steel construction are key factors to the strength of the construction. The width of the 270" A generous 87mm), thick and wide The base is made of heavy steel. This plate is easy to assemble with large rubber feet that do not slip/
*High quality, strong, and durable Sleeves that fit like a glove)/*Ingenious, well-designed, use of the 'simplicity' behind it that makes the device incredibly reliable! It is a fact that will be apparent in all reviews Unlike most jigs, this isn't a cheap one! Steel is used for the gooseneck arms as well as for the frame. Having the right weight is very important to the success of this jig. I found that it's much heavier than it looks, and heavier than all of my previously made Besides the weight (I'm not sure how heavy it is), the jig is also kept stable by a number of other factors. Under the base, there are four large rubber feet, which add to its mobility! The journey is just beginning, however Every aspect of this jig is impressive, from the rubber feet that attach to the heavy steel plate under the feet to the rubber feet themselves. The jig didn't budge open during any part of the adjusting process of clips and/or goosenecks I did as soon as I got it, and I did a project lasting 4 days and adjusted clips and/or goosenecks as needed. That jig stayed put where I placed it and did not move until I made it move! Our alligator clips are not only made from high-quality steel, but also designed for a minimum of intrusiveness. The animal's jaws are long and narrow and can be directed for a precise position through a variety of adjustments. It is evident by looking at these clips that the team put a lot of thought detachable and locked in place with a thumbscrew at each collar, so that you can change how you want them to be placed. All you have to do is loosen the thumbscrew, rotate the clip the way you need it, and lock it. I like how fast and easy it is This is easy to do and in the time it took me to type that sentence, all four clips could have been adjusted In addition, each clip is provided with a removable rubber sleeve, which fits over the upper and lower teeth. So, to avoid scratching crystal surfaces of jewelry or forming an electrical short (if the PCB is powered by a capacitor or two), this block will protect you. Having an undersized hole in the center, the four large, no-slip, rubber feet have no way of locking where they attach. My experience as a machinist and mechanical engineer suggests that it is NOT the result of unforeseen cooling-related issues (when the rubber feet are removed from the injection-molded feet. The fungus). It is designed with an undersized through hole in the rubber foot that functions as a locking nut for the bolt, which keeps it from loosening as you bend, turn, and twist the arms.
It's a simple yet incredibly clever idea and at the same time extremely cost effective. In my 25+ years of machine shop and manufacturing experience, I don't recall ever seeing this great retainer on a device of this type. (I'm a sure many of you are pleased to know that I enjoyed that idea)! I had to fight the urge to continue gushing about how great the idea was. It is full of simple, cost-effective, approaches to the design, which is why we are not paying twice as much as we would have otherwise! Each rubber foot and gooseneck arm are held in place with a long bolt that is fed up through an undersized hole To install the bolt, you should 'screw' it up through the rubber hole as if it were a In the next step, the bolt is pushed through a hole in the steel plate and screwed into the gooseneck arm's threaded hole. My recommendation is to anyone who wants to build their own milling machine, whether they are amateurs or professionals Hobbyists and professionals alike will benefit from this jig. It can be used for everything from holding a spool of thread, to separating tangled wires, to moving a PCB filled with microelectronics that needs lots of It takes four, gooseneck arms to keep you from falling. They're strong and even stronger when they work A holding fixture of this kind can hold sizes and weights that cannot be supported by other fixtures It is impossible for a jig in its class to bear fruit. QuadHands jig may even have been designed by Mark Richards, (the founder of Alphidia LLC), or created by him. Although I don't know if he is, I must say I am quite impressed and actually surprised at how impressive the design and quality of the jig is. You hit the ball out of the park, Mr. Richards! A rich man*.
There was a part of me that really wanted to like this. The construction is quite good but the problem is it has memory in the arms. Would you like to align the assembly with the board that is held by the other hand so you can solder it? Put it out of your mind. Once the wire is PERFECTLY positioned, or as soon as that arm is released after you have positioned things, the flexible metal arm that is holding that wire will spring back and open up the joint you were trying to establish with soldering before you have the chance to do so. Rubber grips, on the other hand, prevent the alligator clips from ever securing, and the component they are holding becomes airborne, flying across the workbench as a result. You should always use rubber grips, or you will scratch up your board. The $50 was a complete waste. It seems like they've just changed their clothes, judging from many of the 5 star reviews. As I did, they also spent a lot of money on a semi You have just pictured a functional item, and you're just imagining it's great just because others have told you so.
The hands broke apart after I took this out of the box today. Before I could even begin my project, the other arm had given up. Being a repeat user, I was pretty surprised that it was so frail given the nature of what this product is intended to do. At the time, I had not even put a part in the holder yet. I used very little pressure to position it. A message was sent to Amazon customer service, but the company was not able to assist or replace the product. I was recommended to contact the vendor (QuadHands), and I did so. We haven't heard back from them yet, and I am not sure when they will be able to send me a replacement. I was shocked by the poor quality of this, especially considering the reviews I had read. There is no indication if the problem is a design flaw or if manufacturing went wrong. In most cases, I am frustrated because it is Friday and I had some free time this weekend to work on it. Because I can't get to work, I had to call customer service, and I'll probably have to wait for a replacement, and I have no idea how long that will take since Amazon was not As a simple product, I would have thought that it would work straight out of the box, however, it unfortunately does.
The con is unit that I received had a warped base, so things were rocking back and forth as they were being held in place. It cancels out the principal benefit of this product, namely, its convenience. With its heavy, steady base (the inexpensive "third-hand" tools will move around for much less money), the tool can be easily moved around the room. A new one was sent to me after I returned the old one. In the second one, the base was flat, but the alligator clips on two of the flexible arms (the short one and the long one) had been screwed on so tightly that the threads on the protruding stud had been A 8-inch blade of a cleaning tool helped me clean them up It's an elegant design, but my experience suggests that there may be some quality control issues. After purchasing two examples, I was disappointed to find defects in both. For this price it's surprising that both samples have defects.
The arms are solid. It is a very high quality piece of art and is the perfect size. This is a heavy and sturdy bag. There is just the right amount of resistance in the flexible arms so that they bend gently and smoothly but remain on target. The idea for this holder is excellent and much better than what I've used in the past.
Update A fantastic company, Alphaidia sent me a set of free silicon clamp covers so I could properly secure my delicate work, and the founder of the company contacted me to ascertain that everything was working and I was satisfied with the product. Great customer service, really nice people. This product is highly recommended, to be used by all
Update Now that Quadhands make soldering guitar patch cables so easy, that really adds to the ease of using the tool. I'm using the silicon covers they sent, and it's working fine!.
