That's what I think. You may only need a door lock, but locking the plug inside would be useful as well.

This is fantastic for keeping my neighbors from using my dryer.
Item arrived in good condition.
A very large power plug lockout that can hold up to six locks - For instance, if there are six people serving a piece of equipment - It will not be able to be plugged in or used until all six locks have been removed. With only one lock, it works just as well. It can be used with any electrical plugs or receptacles that fit inside. The openings are large enough to accommodate single phase circuits of 40 or 60 amps, as well as 3-phase circuits. I'm only using it on one machine to make sure it's not used when replacing tooling, and it works perfectly for that. I'm not sure if the manufacturer makes smaller sizes. This one is a little big for a 20A single phase or even a 30A single phase, but it's perfect for anything bigger.
This is only a warning/safety device; it will not protect you from theft or malicious damage. In fact, you could open it by simply cutting the small hinges. However, for safety reasons, such as on a construction site (where you should trust everyone), this would be ideal. Because there are up to six locks, everyone will be aware of the safety issue whether they put on or remove their own lock. Of course, you'd have to get everyone to agree, but that's not the locks' fault; great for a variety of issues, such as electrical, propane tanks, or other fuels, and so on.
I had no idea such things existed, but I'm glad I can now lock up extension cords while they're being repaired, as well as one nitrogen tank that I know is finicky. If multiple workers need to lock something out, the multiple holes for multiple locks fit the style of standard lockout kits. This is an excellent product.
This is made of plastic and snaps around your hoses or whatever else you want to keep "locked out. " It appears to me that breaking and un-breaking this would be simple. The equipment must be locked. Although the design is not particularly thief-proof, the red color or the warning "Danger in Red" may deter would-be thieves.
