There are no two locks included in the 498A. The image depicts how the locks are kept.

When a master lock system can be used, what and how many personal locks are required by the standard?

OSHA 1910 is the standard for energy management. If only electrical energy needs to be controlled, OSHA 1910 is the code to use. NFPA 70E can also be used for electrical LOTO. Read about the differences in LOTO procedures and requirements for complex and simple procedures. Visit YouTube and watch Panduit's video "A Life is on the Line." Within your program, locks must be standard, and each employee must have one lock. If more than one person is involved (Complex LOTO), the procedure must be overseen by a supervisor. A program may not be applied to a lock or activity if only a simple LOTO is being performed.

It works well, takes up less space, and is less expensive than similar designs

It accomplishes the task at hand. br>In comparison to most other designs, it takes up less wall space to accommodate more locks. br>In comparison to competing designs, the price is significantly lower. br>It's made of metal. It should be able to withstand commercial use, in my opinion. br>br>It takes a few tries to figure out how to use the lock tab, but once you do, it's a breeze. br>It's not a product issue, but I ordered a dozen of these and another item at the same time, and the two-day shipping turned into a week and a half due to multiple shipments. I'm not sure if it was because of Amazon or because all of the items were out of stock when I placed my order.

Lightweight and well-designed

Lightweight and well-designed. There is an inside latch that closes off all of the holes, so it can't be opened unless all of the holes are cleared. This is a clever design. Because the holes aren't particularly large, a padlock that is too large will not fit. Aside from that, the product is fantastic.
