If it's a standard 120v plug then it might be too large for you. This tube will accommodate the whole of my fist.

I am not aware of the size of your plug, but I use this on a 4 prong 30 amp plug with 460 volts. This is the The diameter of this item is 5".

Plugs of various sizes can be used and the socket also has a lockout feature. My crawlspace was equipped with LED lights for workers, so I used it to install a string of lights for them. A lock was put on the end of the strand, since it was a light duty cord and the manufacturer recommended not connecting anything other than another of their strands to it. In any case, several workers requested they be allowed to use the cord for their drills after opening the lock out. That is exactly why I locked it out, because then it would have put too much strain on the cord. I searched it out specifically on Amazon, and it is something that I am pleased with. It has the nice feature of being able to adapt from a small size

A male or female end of a cord lockout that is very large. This product is unique because the endplates are designed to adapt to a wide variety of cables and cord sizes. One particularly attractive feature is the yellow color, which is easy to see. There is only one thing I would like to see improved more plastic thickness. There are many strange things that happen on construction sites and in industrial settings. This would be more satisfying if it was a little more durable. Although I found the product to be good, I would not hesitate to buy another if the need arose.
