I bought two of these for 55-gallon oil drums. With a full barrel, the gauge leaks on both sides; the pressure of a full barrel is what causes the leaks. The gauge was replaced under warranty by Amazon, but the replacements also leaked at the base. I finally gave up and removed the gauge, opting instead to use the faucet. Don't waste your time by purchasing a faucet with a gauge; instead, purchase a faucet without a gauge. The faucet functions properly, but the gauges will leak, wasting oil and causing a mess on your floor.
We purchased three of these, and they are all functional. We had a minor issue with two of them leaking near a fitting, but it was easily fixed. The gauge functions exactly as it should. When dispensing oil, the spout is slow, but with thinner liquids, this may not be noticeable. This is something we've been doing for a while.
I wouldn't waste my money on it. I was installing one and was being cautious due to the poor construction, and the sight gauge frame broke right at the weld, followed by the sight tube breaking. This product should not be used if you want your oil to stay on your drum.
