The fabric bands on this band get dirty and stretched out while the rubber band stays pliable and easy to clean. It's easy to remove dirt and grime just by washing it in hot water or putting it in an ultrasonic cleaner if it gets really dirty. Compared to the ESD strap bands made primarily of fabric, this might feel different for someone who is used to an expandable watch band. As opposed to a small square of metal with an elastic fabric band that wears out, this clasp seems to provide a much more secure connection to my wrist.
Even though this is a great product, it does not provide the best level of comfort. Because the band is made of metal, I bought it to have a better contact, but I think it is too much metal, or it's too sharp, so if you are not careful it will cut you. It needs a little work, but I think it's a great design.
The belt sander I used for this was a 1x30. I'm getting static shocks all the time. Nothing to worry about, everything works fine.
Wearing it for 1 week resulted in the item ripping clean in half. I found it comfortable, however the ESD strap broke in half with little effort after taking it off, with which I had no difficulty.
I highly recommend this product. It is well worth the price, sturdy, and quite.
